Since this community is a spin off to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} _animalcrossing, you are NOT to crosspost. The purpose of this community is to seperate gate announcements from the others.ALSO: Please be careful of the users you trade with and/or let come to your town. There are tools you can buy that hackers can use to turn town gates and Nooks into museums - see this post for the list of known "prankers".  This community was made specifically for people to post their friend codes and announcing that their gates are open for visitors, or someone looking for a town to visit. This is also a good announcement board for when you're hosting events in your town, too! :) When posting, it's a good idea to have your information in this sort of format: Name: Town: Friend Code: Time Opening: (Insert the time you'll be opening your gates, please include your timezone, ie. CST, EST, PST, GMT, etc.) It's also nice to include how long you think you'll be online, so people can be prepared to go home whenever you do. REMINDER: Be sure to edit your posts to reflect the fact that you have CLOSED your gates! This is to avoid confusion when newcomers read them! :] NIFTY SITE: Want a spiffy image that contains all your town information? Check out turnips.kaaosaa.com! If you create a profile there, you can set your options and generate awesome town-signs such as this and this! This is not an all-encompassing community about Wild World, this is specifically about posting gate open/closings and posting your friend codes. If you're looking for discussion and posting about something OTHER than your FC or opening gates, check out the links above. Any off-topic posts will be deleted and the member notified. 3) Be respectful of other people's towns. If you're caught and reported, you're banned. Period. 4) When you post about opening your gate be sure to EDIT your post again after closing, so people aren't left wondering. 5) Advertising is NOT ALLOWED without permission from a moderator.
