Wii Kart ONLINE!!

Quick question.

I've been reading FAQs from both G-Faqs and here, but one thing does confuse me.

When it says to unlock a certain character by X-amount of expert time trial ghosts, does that mean the default ghost that was already created before you actually race that trial, or is there another ghost that I can't access yet?

Out of curiosity, which controller method(s) do you all use for playing Kart?

I've been using the remote and wheel up until now, and I find myself growing increasingly frustrated with it - mostly, the fact that I seem to fling myself off the track every time I try to do a trick or wheelie. I've been thinking of trying the remote and nunchuk, but thought I'd see what everyone else finds the most comfortable.

What about the rest of you?
