The Wisdom Teeth So, today I got my wisdom teeth pulled. I was really nervous last night and this morning. (I, erm, cleared out all my drawers at like ten o'clock last night--I clean when I get nervous.) But it really wasn't as bad as soon as I got in there. I don't remember falling asleep, though I do remember getting the IV in (it hurt). Right now I'm chilling and watching a lot of brainless girl movies. When we got home, there were flowers on the doorstep from Nicole P.. It delighted me! She sent me a really cute note too. And when I came in, Philip came running up and gave me a card Laura and him had made me. It was reallyreally cute. Philip and Laura have been very helpful with being quiet/walking me around when I feel dizzy/stuff. Btw, there's hurricane coming like right at us. So I might loose internet for a few days. I have new upstairs neighbors from hell. I keep trying to convince myself that all the noise is just them moving in and/or unpacking, but they've been "unpacking" the same corner of the bedroom, directly above my bed, for the past five hours, and it went on all day yesterday too. So if they are unpacking, all of their belongings fit in a 10 foot square area and they're just planning to leave rest of the apartment untouched.
I haven't had to call the cops on them, though, so they're still better than Stampee. |

I decided to try stopping the Percocet, after the last one I took at 7 last night stopped being fun and just made me dizzy and woozy.
I am still woozy. It is eleven o'clock the following day. WTF. I want to do stuff but I can't even be trusted to type. C'MON, BODY! THERE IS BLUE SKY OUTSIDE! |

Misapprehension We Can Believe In So Camden has told me that he wants our next president to be "Rocky Barrama." He is also a little confused about who is "McCain" (a bad old man) and who is "McCabe" (our local democratic challenger for state rep.; also our pals, Dennis and Gladys's daddy). He also wonders who is Grandma and Papa's president, who is Auntie's president, etc. Jude was watching something like Good Morning, America the other morning for a few minutes, where they were discussing the first day of the DNC, and he said, "Mama, this is about voting. It's interesting. There are two people who want everyone to vote for them to be president: one is a man from Denver, and one is a lady from New York." Not quite right, but he obviously saw a bunch of pictures, heard a bunch of words, and drew conclusions, so that's something. Obama pwned! last night. I applauded, at one point, right there in my living room (150 billion dollars to fixing the energy mess). I absolutely swooned when he laid down the law about not making the big election about small things; basically he said, "Don't even try to say I'm not patriotic, because that's stupid bullshit and I ain't havin' it." I, for one, am psyched. Thanks to several peeps for suggestions about the business name. . .I think I'm going with Making Big Change. As in, ch-ching. I also want to get yard signs. . .would even go so far as to do something as ambitious as this. But not right this second. Current Mood:  optimistic |

Just notes, here, as I'm in a bit of a rush this morning and sneezy, also:
Neighbors:
-kids called Seb a bitch and other assorted nasties yesterday, while he was playing in our backyard.
-are apparently behind on their rent, and may be evicted on that note. The landlord really needs to grow a pair.
-were shooting a b-b gun night before last, all over the yard, and then left it in the bush in front of our house. So I gave it to Mike, who threw it away.
House:
-Seb's floor has two coats of paint on it as of 8:30 last night, and is still tacky. Will see if it dries by this afternoon so we can move things back in.
-I keep getting incredibly disgusted with various things in the house-- like the basement laundry area, or the bathroom sink-- and just cleaning it. Which is saying something good about my brain, I guess.
-Our yard is looking nicer. We'll be getting the trash out of the trailer/truck sometime soon, and getting new lawn chairs from the in-laws. I washed the back porch and organized stuff and now am looking forward to having it all messed up as Mike works on the roof this weekend.
Hats:
-Have 3 customs to finish. 1 is nearly done already. The other two need supplies, which I'll hopefully be getting today.
-Once I can breathe for a day or two, I'll be making a crapload of witch hats and listing them.

I don't wanna go back home to gombak coz i just did yesterday (to do my building construction assignment) so now.....everyone goes away to their hometown penang kelantan whatever shit and i'm left alone n nothing to do for Sunday AND Monday epicly bodohbodohbodoooooh~!!!! /o/ /o/ /o/ /o/ /o/

Just A Few Words Alot has happened in the past few months, I'm not going into great detail at the moment but I have kept my journal up to date on my now working perfectly computer. I've been busy, busy, busy! To make a long story short I've been having a blast! I'm finally going out and hanging out with bands, partying and such. I'm even trying out for my boyfriends band as lead singer and also trying out for bass player for his other band. Awesomeness! The funny thing is people here in San Antonio is not used to seeing the way I dress. I had soooo many people come up to me... it's insane. I've taken tons of pictures, so when I come back online there will be a photo dump from hell. anyways that's about it for right now. I'm going to another show tomorrow, I can't wait! Fun, fun, fun! amazing.... so this is the response a bridesmaid sent after receiving the invite for my sister's bachlorette party: "I'm going to try to do this. That sounds like a lot of fun, but I probably won't know until closer to the weekend" i'm assuming she means the weekend of the party. this is the same bridesmaid that gave us shit over $40. i really hope she decides not to come. i'm just amazed at her attitude. my sister has known her since the 5th grade. and this girl is just so "if it's convenient for me". i really feel like sayng something to her, but i know i shouldn't. skirt and mock bodice so the skirt for my saturday day dress is done:   FRONT BACK the bodice on the other hand.... eeehhhh..... at least a mock up. i'm using the pattern size i thought matched my measurements, but it's HUGE. to fit it on body form i actually removed the two side pannels completely. it's still a wee bit large on me..... i'm liking how the back looks though! um.... not quite my size yet.....  i will not cause such a scandal as this!  the back is good thus far:  Current Mood:  busy |

:@ I am all tingly. I have butterflies. I checked in online to my flight -- which, for the record, I totally don't "get" the concept of checking in online. Since STUPID STUPID AirTran charges you if you have more than one bag, I packed light this year and only have 1 suitcase. I also have a back pack filled with lolita clothes though. My only new outfit is Catwoman, but for some reason I still feel like this will be the best Dragon*Con yet. Current Mood:  excited |

Surgery deets Everything went really smoothly. The night before, Jon got me a nice, big, proteiny dinner (gyro salad) and then took me out to see a stupid movie to take my mind off things ("House Bunny", if you must know), and I stayed up as late as I could so I could sleep as late as possible the day of surgery, to make that no-eating-after-midnight thing a little less brutal. I was worried because Jon said he'd felt like he was getting sick and, like the true idiot I am, I started feeling it, too...mostly a full head, but also a bit of a cough, which I hoped wouldn't mean I would have to be intubated. I was really hoping a cold wouldn't delay surgery, period. Luckily I remembered I had a box of Zicam nose swabs, so I popped a couple of those and some allergy meds and went to bed. Jon got up at his usual time and went to work for a few hours. I stayed in bed as long as I could and then got up and showered and dressed. I still felt off but I wasn't running a fever, thank goodness. Jon came home and picked me up, and off we went. Got checked in to the surgery center and, after filling out my paperwork, I went to take my misoprostol. ( Read more... ) |

A judgement of inferno and a great flood.
... Because sometimes a hairdryer can be such an extremely handy tool.
Found a nascent colony of ants inside my Men yesterday while hairdryering my gears. I was wondering why so much dust came out ... I mean, I thought nothing of it since I usually get a bit of lint and dust, but that was until i noticed that the dusts were moving, and that there was a whole lot of them.
In the not so recent past they had been discovered to be colonising between scraps of tissue paper and twice in cupboards, whose owner had been patient by emptying them into the field instead of doing something along the lines of setting everything on fire. The same species of tiny weeny ants that have started appearing in the house more and more often, whose inhabitant discovered a full cup of one morning, just before she decided to pick a cup up and drink her milo.
I was actually feeling very tired and stoned then, so I just blankly hairdryer'd them all onto the bathroom floor, hairdryer'd them somemore, and then unleashed a flood on them by turning on the showerhead.
I'm getting sick of seeing these persistant critters in my house and I hope they don't come back. =.=
