Wig # one of... well a few.
My Rocky Horror shadow cast is doing Moulin Rouge next year at the end of February. I'm doing the few wigs we need. This is one of seven or eight. First I've finished. :D

Meet the Green Fairy. :D Blonde synthetic wig, about upper back length. Pulled half-up into a braided bun and beaded with absynthe-green glass beads.

That is beautiful. I love the way you did the curls and the decoration on the bun.

My hair is long enough to do that, and I would love to try it.

I tihnk I get it after looking a bit more. sections from the temple to the ears pull back into the braided bun and use decorative bobby pins?

HOw did you do the ringlettes? Are they rag curls?

I'm not horribly good at ringlets yet, so I bought a curled wig from Amphigory. I cheated. ^_^; However- the bun is actually three braids braided into one. One from each temple and one in the middle. Then I just rolled it up a sewed it down. It needs to be able to stand up to a lot, since we're going to be doing some hardcore can can dancing. :D Then I just sewed the beads in on blonde-colored thread and a beading needle.

so for real hair a snood...

excellent. I already tried the braided bun and did smething i liked better. I took the hair from the temples put it together, sectioned it into three pieces and braided it. Then I did a flip through to get the twisted effect and did a bun that was flat to the head.

I like flipping my own hair through like that. With the wig, though, all sorts of mesh was exposed. 0.o Braids and wigs don't mix horribly well. ^^; THe bun would be flatter to the head, but with it being three braids plaited together, that makes it thicker. I tried to flatten it to no avail. I still like it, though. :D

Braid the three pieces together and you can coil them flat to the head, thats what I did
