Okay, so: game quotes in blue battles in red Steal items in gold (in brackets, next to monster's name) Treasure in green Hunter jobs, titles in white my thoughts in italics links in a table
The boys travel back to Itio and Lutz is still awed by how different the city is compared to Sasha. Alec feels the shock's worn off but does notice how different their clothing is compared to the cityfolk and wonders if they'll stick out like a sore thumb. This leads him to wonder if they'll ever give him a chance at the Hunter's Guild. Lutz tells him there's only one way to find out.
Man: "Did you see the sign for the Hunter's Guild? They passed a bond here in Itio not too long ago to make all these damned signs. Pretty much everything is labeled. It's a waste of money, I think. But, who the hell ever asked me? No one, I'm tellin' you. And that's the problem."
After resting up and taking in the city more leisurely, Alec and Lutz go back to the Hunter's Guild and are immediately noticed by a Hunter standing nearby. The clerk recognizes the boys from earlier. He thinks we're here with another job, but Alec tells him otherwise. The clerk cracks up and Lutz demands to be taken seriously. Suddenly, the whole room cracks up after everyone hears that these two "kids" want to become Hunters.
( ... )
NEXT TIME: We've got some crappy jobs to do!

We got someone to come help us with our bat problem. He caught it singlehandedly and put it in a tupperware container. 8D; The bat was cute in the container... but it certainly wasn't cute when it was flying into our faces. D:
The guy let the bat free outside (oh wait, I think he kept it... in case the bat needs to be tested... O_o; ), and checked the attic, fireplaces, roof, and the area outside the house.
...he found bat droppings in the fireplace of the room in question.
...and there was a gap big enough to allow the bats to come through in there too.
...to think that we were sleeping in that room while the painters were working on the rest of the house eeeewuuuuasdoijxckadg... >A>;;;
He also found droppings in the attic, and said they might have come in from a hole that squirrels and rats made before in there. He also remarked that there's plenty of space for the bats to hide on the house... and none of our chimneys are capped.
Ahehehehe..... oh good god. 8D;
They're coming back tomorrow during the day. Thank goodness... TAT;

I only got one book cut today, and it was a truly traumatic experience. Which is to say I got over it in about .2 seconds. I'll probably get the other two cut tomorrow, as well as buying some binders because the 1-inch binders I have now aren't wide enough to fit all the pages.
Today felt oddly long, despite the fact I only had one class. I did lunch with a friend (she fed me. Life is good. Thanks again. <3), took a short research class on using LexisNexis (hint, use their product and they will give you free stuff in the hope that once you have graduated and have to actually pay for their product, you will fund their attempts to catch the next generation in their unyielding grasp), got one book cut, hole punched the approximately 840 pages, did grocery shopping, and am now attempting to get some studying done. Yargh.
On a random note, I think Reeve and Laguna need more love in their respective fandoms. Laguna is my favorite character in FFVIII, and way more fun than scowly ol' Squall. And Reeve's voice is really hot, which is my entire basis of reasoning for lusting after him. Okay, just kidding; I was actually brainwashed into adoring him a while back after reading this one terribly long (but sadly unfinished) Rufus/Reeve fic. But still, I think he's pretty awesome for not being my favorite character of the game.
I wonder if I can write Reeve x Zexion. Huh. That sort of traumatization will have to wait until I finish the Luxord x Zexion fic. I think I might actually manage to finish it instead of losing interest and drifting back to sequel fic, but seeing how I just said that out loud, I probably just jinxed myself. So I'll probably not be finishing anything for the rest of the year. Thanks, stupid brain.

BAT BAT BAT AAAAAWOEGIFDKEWGIOFJKEFJK!!!! WE HAVE A BAT FLYING IN THE HOUSE Q#OWIFHSQWOIETFJSJASK!!!!
*wheeze wheeze wheeze*
I think we got it trapped in a room but... OMG... T______________T;;;
So, at first, I was just sitting around and drawing in my sketchbook. My mom was sleeping on a chair nearby, and the dogs were sleeping on the floor around us. And all of a sudden, I notice this big shadow move across the sketchbook a couple times (lol I guess I was so focused the first time, I only realized that it was extremely out of the ordinary after I saw it move the second time).
So I looked up.
AND I SEE A BAT FLYING OVER MY HEAD OMFG WEOIGSDHVDSFIOJKLSDFJK!!! T___________T Whereupon I screamed "コウモリーーーーーーーーッ!!!!! AAAAAAAAOEIDFSKLVFIDSJLKEDFSJK!!!! " And it instantly woke up my mom, but she didn't seem to understand why I was screaming UNTIL IT FLEW OVER HER HEAD TOO AND SHE START GOING AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGROIDSVKIDFOJKL!!!
I'm sure constantly screaming wasn't very smart though... but, but... OMFG I WAS SO SCARED. T_________T It kept flying as if it was going directly into our faces (probably because we were screaming.... >.>; ) and it probably could've hit one of us if we didn't keep ducking. 8D; Seriously, at first, I was sitting on a high chair... and eventually, I hid under the counter... AND IT FLEW UNDER THE COUNTER TOO RIGHT AFTER I MOVED WTF!!!? T_____________________T (probably because I couldn't shut my goddamn mouth... ) My mom opened a sliding door in the room and tried to get it out, but it wouldn't... and in the end, it flew out into the rest of the house!! Dx She cautiously went after it (OMG... I can't imagine how she could do that, I barely got myself out of that room... T_T;;; ), and she trapped it in a room! At least, we think she did... she saw it flying in the room and she closed the door on it. But she didn't see it fly into that room, so it could have been in there to begin with. Especially since that's the same room where we found that dead mini bat a few weeks ago. >_>;
...I think the bats made a nest on our roof, or by one of the chimneys... considering this is the second bat inside the house... plus, a few days ago, I heard some eerie screeching outside when I was in that room in question (that's where we were sleeping while the painters were working in the house too OMGGGGG O____O;;; ). I heard the screeching twice... once in the early evening (like 5-7PM) and once in the early morning (5AM). So I told my mom "I heard this weird noise above my head... I think we have bats..." My mom heard the noise at some point too, but she was sure they were coming from outside. But she thought they were birds! xD; Well, there's no way for us to know what was making that noise but.............. ugghhh, so creepy. >_>;;;
So, right now, I called wildlife removal and someone's coming in another half hour or so THANK GOD!! T__________T
...it was funny how my mom later commented something along the lines of "gosh, you sure scream LOUD and you wouldn't STOP!"
......... >_>; I didn't know I could scream like that either. The only other time I actually screamed audibly was when I bungee jumped in Australia. The bats down there were more nice... they didn't fly into your face and stayed high above in the sky. 8D; ...well, I'm sure the ones here are the same too, as long as they don't fly into houses! T___T
So there you have Bat Panic Live (somewhat), brought to you by Ruina. 8D;
I-I really hope we can get something done about that bat... and about any of the other bats we might have around the house. T_T Oh god oh god... *still scared* Dx

I've never watched the movie and somehow, I managed to dream up an awful parody of "Snakes on A Plane" only involving one of my younger neighbors, a child molester, court and an alleyway. Crazy details aside, the dream narrowed down to me and my penthouse floor neighbor surrounded by a bunch of anacondas (is that how you spell it?) in a dark alleyway and she was begging me to say the movie catchphrase and finally fed up with it, I told her "Fuck it, I'm going to wake up now. Enjoy being snakey food," and left her behind like that. XD
Other than that...I saw a Scientology "Free Stress Test" table on the way home, 33th street and 6th avenue. I almost laughed out loud and was half tempted to do the test and screw around with the results. :< (Maybe next time, yes or no?) But I'm more annoyed by the fact that they took up half the sidewalk width... >:o

Since this was a festival, Leonard Cohen was just one part of many musical acts. That's why the setlist is shortened, and the whole thing lasted about an hour.
 (This was part of the stage surround. They're words to Avalanche, even though it wasn't/couldn't be a part of Leonard's setlist. The rest are words to the other acts of the night.)

Oh MY GOSH! It finally showed! The trailer of the next Vampire Knight.
I was praying that it would appear before december and yes, it did answer my prayer. Showing on october.
This is going to be intense. More blood-sucking and more love triangle and more... more... action...
The intense looks of Zero and Kaname to each other. It is like war! And the grand prize is Yuuki... Can you believe that?!?!?!?!
I really want to watch this NOW!
But, I have to wait till October.. Oh well.. It doesn't matter...

Dreaming My Way Home |

It totally goes against my book-loving, but I have - for the sake of my back and shoulders - decided to give in and go get my books disbound. My upwards of $150 each books, mind you. But next week, the thought of carrying three casebooks (not to mention a nearly 400-page reader, the "Federal Rules of Civil Procedure" book, an additional Torts book, and of course my laptop) to and from class is honestly making my brain hurt, and I wasn't planning on selling these books back anyway. Let's just say there's a fine line between principles and plain ol' masochism, and that's pretty much just crossing it.
I'll just stuff them each in their own binder or something, print out a pretty picture to use as a cover to myself feel marginally better for such mutilation, and welcome with open arms that insane concept of not having destroyed my spine in less than a month.
And now I go off and read Terry Brooks. The post office finally surrendered both it and the law dictionary today. Half-hearted whining on a journal apparently can work miracles then....
(And Zexion is occupying the entry's icon because he too is a book lover, and he is looking at me in SHAME. But I say to him, 'You are dead and I am alive, and I like my limbs intact, so go forth and bugger off, you two-timing bastard.')

Kinda mixed about this one. It's nice that they're trying to balance us without the use of something that wasn't really intended, but I also liked the fact that you had to put a fair amount of research into your class to excel. I'm proud when I can make the top five on the damage meters as a feral Druid, because I put the effort to maximize what I have. Granted that only happens on certain melee friendly fights, but details....
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Blizz ends up making it so if you stand in fire, it heals you. I never imagined how fucking hard it is for some people to NOT stand in fire. Much like real life, fire will kill you. No, really. Stop standing in it. And no I will not battle res you because you were too stupid to step out of it.
I'm so glad I'm not raiding anymore.
And don't mind me, I'm just PMSing. Totally gives me an excuse to make a QQ tag though!
