It had to be pointed out to me before I accepted it myself but apparently the United States falls behind a bit in the sexual arena. Outside of our borders, what is and what isn't considered to be sex is not so limited. Whereas within, Americans largely view physical pleasure not involving intercourse as not being sex.

1) Do you think sex absolutely must have intercourse as a necessary component?
2) If you don't, then if lesbians aren't having sex what exactly are they doing?
3) Why do you suppose people don't view cunnilingus & fellatio as being sex?

I've a friend that asks every woman he gets involved with, before anything starts, if she's an axe murderer. This may strike some as odd but he's recently taken on a new twisted aspect. At some point or other, usually after things have developed, he makes sure that the woman he's seeing never gets it into her head it's never okay to lay eggs in his skull.

Fairly sure he's not being serious with either of these but you never can tell these days.

Have you ever asked any bizarre or ridiculous questions of who you're involved with or about to be? Something you may've wanted a serious answer to but phrased it a bit uniquely?

That you will die is a given. You know this, as do I. However, what if you were given the choice. What if you were told that you would not have to die so long as you were willing to give up something important to yourself. If you gave up a part of yourself in exhange for a longer life would it be worth it?

Or, to put it another way, if you absolutely had to have a part of your body amputated (we're talking meat and bone people) what would you choose to lop off?

I suspect the answer is more vague than the question but then that is so often the case. People see things differently, the world is not set on the perspective of one. We are all a part of the greater whole but really can only see pieces of it.

AIM Help

My AOL instant messenger always breaks. When I'm signed in talking to someone, it will sometimes stall and will not allow me to receive messages, read buddy profiles, or send instant messages. I have a new laptop with a wireless connection. Does perhaps my failing AIM have to do with the wireless connection? Any suggestions that will improve my AIM situation, and so that I can get through an AIM conversation without a breaking connection?

Okay, I have a psychology class (high school level) and we have a end of the year project. So, everyone had to write a survey. My survey and a handful of other people's surveys were deemed inappropriate. Sooo I couldn't give them out at school. Feel like filling out a 15 question survey about sexual orientation and influences on it? It would help me out a great deal. Pass it around, have people send it back to me. I was talking with Dr. Chandra in regards to religion earlier and there are a couple things that do not quite compute. For instance:

God is supposed to be omnipotent, all-powerful, and yet he seems to have a limit to how much energy he may expend at any one time. Did he not create the Heaven's and the Earth in six days...after which he needed to rest on the seventh? These concepts do not mesh well.

I have never understood why people have a problem with evolution. The implication that it is separate from God seems ridiculous. Evolution is a logical progression of adaptation of form and fuction...why ca it not be that God set this in motion? Moreso, it seems foolish to imply that something as powerful as God is believed to be, a being that supposedly has no limits, could not make a human being from an ape. Or do those that not make this connection assume this to be beyond the scope of his abilities?

What is the origin of this term?
