No one posts on Tuesdays, so I'm posting. They should have thought of that when they told me to post all those Monday meeting notes a couple years ago. Let's call this "Bax's Inside Awesomeness," because what's inside me is, in fact, awesome (even if Brian says what's inside of me is mostly smelly cheese). Ethan and John talk about what it's like to be a developer, but no one talks about what it's like to be the little guy, the one whose ideas and dreams get stomped on because someone else doesn't like it. I busted my ass for weeks on this project, and no one thinks it's awesome. I mean, how can it not be awesome? It's got booze and vikings and breaking shit in it! IT IS MORE AWESOME THAN CAN BE SAFELY CONTAINED IN ONE PLACE.Whatever. I don't care what matt and Ethan and Rich and Kelley and everyone else says. My ideas are cool. Sexalted would sell like hotcakes, and so would Shadows of Iceland. So screw it. Here's a link for you guys to see what could have been, a sample of my ideas cut down in their prime. http://download.white-wolf.com/download/download.php?file_id=957I still have some ice wine to finish.

Look, Bax, you've been here how long? Every time you've pushed a proposal at me, you keep on making the same mistakes. Let's enumerate, shall we?
- They're turns. Not "rounds." They're only rounds in D&D. Almost every other game system calls them turns. Including ours.
- It's "Health." It comes in "points." It hasn't been "Health Levels" since 2000 or so.
- You don't roll Willpower. You spend it to gain extra dice.
- There are no more "soak" rolls.
- Characters no longer have an "Appearance" trait.
- We don't capitalize Every Goddamn Word. It makes my eye twitch whenever I see you capitalize "Freehold" or "Vampire."
- And it's "discreet" when you mean "stealthy," "horde" when you mean "a bunch of guys," and "your" when you mean "belonging to you." (Which is spelled y-o-u, by the way, even in inter-office emails, if you're trying to impress anybody with your writing skills.)
I mean, just... come on, man! Think!

Way to go, stupid.
Since you've effectively "published" this, you've put us in the hole on art and writing costs, in addition to whatever time you've spent on the clock assembling it. Now your "cool" idea has to be paid for, since you've used the artists' and writers' work in propagation. Go read the fucking contracts. I know asking you to read is outside your normal abilities, but since you don't seem to be able to do your goddamn job at any juncture at all ever without fucking something up, maybe it's time to go back to square one.
The hell with kicking your ass next time I see you downstairs. I'm going to have you fired. I'm going to have you fired and I'm going to have these art and writing costs taken out of your paycheck -- which is too much, by the way, if you've been paid even a single fucking dollar for what you've contributed in your time here. I don't know how you wormed your way in here, since everyone I know gave you the thumbs-down way back when you were a goddamn intern candidate, but that's it. The end of an era. Thanks for signing your own termination papers, you mutant.
