John and I really need to do something about our hair styles. John is combing his straight down from the top of his head, like a Romulan, and mine is growing out from my recent buzz-cut and I can't decide what to do with it. It's just generic American Male Hair Type 2A. Blah.
John's going to grow his out so he can get the emo cut, though.
Brian is continuing to make
Rolle of Glorious Divinity into a real book, and is helping Zack refine the product photos they're taking for the
EVE CCG expansion,
The Exiled. Also, the cover for
Dreams of the First Age has come in.
Ethan is setting out on the next
Changeling book, which, early though it is yet, I will name for you:
Rites of Spring. He's also splitting some of his time on another World of Darkness book.
Aileen is aiming to get
Astral Realms to press this week, and is then starting in on art direction and design for
Winter Masques. The
Winter Masques cover has just come in, too. We're seeing some more great work from
JP Targete coming in, and you're going to love it when you see it. (That frontispiece on his website? That's
Autumn Nightmares.)
Scion: Demigod's final cover from the much celebrated Michael Komarck has come in, glowing with voodoo enchantment, so that book is likely to rocket out the door to the printer's this very day. the matt then moves on to proofs for
Requiem for Rome.
I, Will, am doing a bunch of stuff, much of which can't be talked about yet. Some of it involves the release of
Changeling: The Lost next month. Others deal with stuff that won't be out for a long time. The immediate piece of work, though, is the newest
SAS product, "Scenes of Frenzy," due out later this week.
Craiggers has sent
Mind's Eye Theater's edition of
Mage off for proofing by developer Eddy-with-a-Y Webb and the usual suspects. Craig's also got symbols in now for
Requiem for Rome, to go along with a whole bunch of really gorgeous interior art happening in that book.
Chaney's working on dataslates for
Murder City, now that most or all of the cards are done. He's also tackling a couple of lingering administrative stuff on old books and forthcoming board games.
Reliquary is waiting to be proofed, but he went and got that done early, so it may have to get in line. This morning he was here in the conference room going over press sheets for the
VTES expansion
Lords of Night.
I probably shouldn't even be showing you this kind of stuff, but here's the logo I pitched for
Murder City and the briefest sampling of Christopher Shy's art for that game. It
still strikes me as weird to see this stuff realized by the likes of Chaney and Shy.

Petur's playtesting early pitches of various board games and doing design sketches and reviews for things like an
EVE board game. Again, it's probably too soon for me to have told you that.
And the
EVE: The Exiled booster saga continues. A new round of randomized boosters is due in, Petur says, today.
Aaron is coordinating our actions with the card manufacturers, including a trip with Oscar out to Dallas next week to check on the printing of some of our cards, and approve what's coming off the presses. At the same time, he's somehow juggling a bunch of the forthcoming
EVE merchandise and other products, some of which are almost unbearably awesome, but which will be jinxed if I mention them too soon.
Aaron and I are also working with Rob Bowes and his Scottish sidekick on the new World of Darkness edition of the
Hero Lab software. I got a chance to sit down with this at Origins and immediately wanted to use it in my home game. It's better than just character creation software (though it is that) — it's also a great character
management system for use during play. Stay tuned for more news as we draw dangerously close to the software's big release at Gen Con — just weeks away!
Chadwick (look for his cameos in
Damnation City) is rushing to get Gen Con humming along before he sets out for the Appalachian Trail this weekend. Seriously. The new, formidable part of his job is to get the booth — our biggest yet — up to speed… and running on American voltage. It's a big job, moving and setting up that monster, but we hope you all will dig it enough to be worth all his hard work. So, remember, those booths don't come from nowhere. People like Chad have to make those damn things happen. If you dig the booth, as for Dr. Voodoo and tell him you like it.
If you don't like it, ask for an intern.
Speaking of interns… Intern Merry is helping Aaron with distributor and translator matters. Intern Chandler is writing an SAS story for
Mage — something about ley lines and a new Legacy. Intern Jessica is putting together Charm cards for
Exalted and helping us with convention support.
Intern Chandler is just about through with us. Then she's going to Costa Rica. Or Isla Nublar, or something. Watch out, Chandler: Those monkeys bite. Also, velociraptors.
What else is there to say?
