Lots going on but not a lot visible right now, I'm afraid. Check out your FLGS early next week for big fun!
Much of the office is packing up and heading to the GAMA trade show. For those who don't know, GAMA is the Game Manufacturer's Association, and their mid-March trade show is a chance for manufacturers to get together with distributors and retailers to talk a little bit about their planned releases for the year. It's kinda like a mini-convention, only it's not open to the public.
The games design department here at the office isn't attending GAMA, however. We'll be at the
Living Game Worlds symposium, learning a little bit about how other industries do it.
Big on the schedule now is
Werewolf, which should ship from distributors on Monday be in stores early next week. A few copies of the book have circulated pre-release, so snoop around the various forums if you'd like to see people discussing that in these last few precious hours before the street date.
Lancea Sanctum will probably arrive at stores alongside
Werewolf.
Mage continues development, and has moved much of its content to editing at this point. We're still on target there for a
GenCon Indy release.
Also in development right now are the
Vampire side of the Chicago book and
Lore of the Forsaken for
Werewolf.
New Orleans (for
Vampire) is in layout and
Rockies (for
Werewolf) is at the printer.
Ordo Dracul,
Predators (for
Werewolf) and
Mysterious Places (a general WoD book) are at the editor.
Another of our big efforts right now is getting the Mind's Eye Theatre rules to press for July release. The rules are done and written, and they're in final development stage. We've just hired Alex Teodorescu-Badia (you can call him Alex Strongbadia), the Camarilla's Master Storyteller, as liaison to that club and as Mind's Eye Theatre developer. Hopefully that hits MET fans as good news.
In other news, last weekend was the office
Halo 2 Murder Party, wherein we networked a bunch of Xboxes and shot each other in the face as much as possible. You don't know the mean of the words "ass-rending chaos" until you've seen a 14-man Slayer game on Lockout. Some tense games of Assault occurred and Capture the Flag often ended up one-sided. (Next time we do this, I'm thinking about making a public broadcast, so any of you guys who want to join us can hop right in. I'm tired of killing ex-interns.)
Turn around, bright eyes.
Fred's getting married next month.
The Vikings should pick up Plaxico Burress. On the other hand, after investing $13M in a cornerback, I can only imagine what their salary cap looks like. Then again, with Randy Moss moving to the Raiders, that probably frees up a significant amount. Burress to Atlanta would also be good, but that won't happen.
So long for now, space people. More from me... as I get to it, really. I'll try to give weekly updates, but not every week has something tangibly exciting to people outside the studio. On those weeks, I'll try to have someone eat something gross or two dudes here at the office to fight and take some pictures for you.
