    Monday Morning Interview Review
The theme for today's meeting is "interviews." First, we have a quick table reading of an interview with Rich Thomas for Game Trade magazine, with Zac(h/k) the Intern playing the part of the questioneer. Rich played Rich. Then, after gabbing just a little bit about my podcast interview at the Gamestas, which is airing for the first time today, we wax nostalgic for a bit about the old days.

Also, DragonCon, which is this coming weekend and will be taking a few of us away from our desks on Friday or Monday. John Chambers is thinking very seriously about calling in with live reports from the floor of the show, to let us know which girls in chainmail bikinis are actually supposed to be Cylons in chainmail bikinis. I don't know how he tells the difference.

The consensus now seems to be that I am Meatloaf. Oh, good.

Hold on for a second while we quickly go over how to use the office intercom system. While we do, here's a quote from Chaney:
"Not in the face! Not in the face! Oh, god! Oh, no! Back in the face! Back in the face!"

Now they're talking about Deadwood while I cover my ears and sing "Head Like a Hole." I don't get cable.

John Chambers is working full-speed on Scion.

Bax is doing art notes for Book of Sorcery, vol. 2: Black & White Treatise.

Ethan's got something like ten writers cracking open their skulls and dipping quills in their brains for Changeling right now. One of these writers is DJ Justin Achilli, who sang "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina" over the phone to me for my birthday this weekend. I share this with you just to take up column inches. You can tell.

Brian's doing the lettering on the Black & White Treatises comic and finagling a cover for Oadenol's Codex. (They tell me Oadenol is like Mordenkainen and John Chambers is like Gygax.) Compass of Terrestrial Directions 2: The West Book is on the way, too, and John Chambers has apparently joined a contest for the longest titles at the company. Brian Glass has been invited to a Texas (pronounced tay-haas) convention next year as a Guest of Honor, where he will almost certainly re-break his spine.

Aaron's taking meetings and doing math to determine what kind of components we need and what kind we can get for Exalted: War (for/of/all about/what is it good for?) the Throne!(!/?): The Exalted Boardgame of Warring for Thrones. (Title subject to change.)

I'm sending Belial's Brood to editing and bringing Damnation City as close to closure as I can. Both books are admittedly running a bit late, but Circle of the Crone came out a skosh early, so cut me a break.

Pauline's got the last of the art on the way for Belial's Brood and covers coming in for a handful of future books. Soon she'll be in Peru, so if you'll be in Peru, look for the pierced, angry girl in the striped socks and let her know you love her work.

Ethan, beyond Changeling, is also bringing War with the Pure to fruition for Werewolf, including some writing he's doing himself in that book.

Aileen (whose name is just fun to type) is lining up artists for Changeling and creating a cover for World of Darkness: Book of Spirits. Sketches are coming in for The Rage: The Player's Guide to Werewolf. (Is there something crazy happening with that cover? We'll find out in a future edition of the Monday Meeting Thing.)

You know what I like? Wolves with mustaches.

Bill Bridges is doing some Mage writing, some Scion writing and some work on another World of Darkness project that I'll talk a little bit more about soon. You're very excited about it.

matt milberger says, "Hi, how's it going?" He's working on that same forthcoming project, but in an arty-layouty capacity. (Rich just said "in toto" meaning "in total." I didn't know he did that sort of thing.) matt's also working on Legacies 2, for which Rich is making more of his patented Awesome Symbols.

Chaney's going to finish Tome of Artifacts this week, and he's super-excited about it. Text for Sword of Cain is due in soon, so that 60-card set is humming along. Magnum Opus sketches have come in, so that book's still on schedule, too. Chaney's a machine. Dark Factions and the Monster's Guide are happening on the Warcraft front.

Rich is having the big meeting with the brass this week on what 2008 will look like, creatively, for White Wolf. Rich has the unenviable task of taking all of our crazy ideas ("our" meaning "Rich's ideas are the craziest") and pitching them to the big folks like an Aristocrat in an agent's office. Godspeed, Rich.

    And with that... we're gone.

Compass of Terrestrial Directions bad number?

Compass of Terrestrial Directions 2: The West Book? If the Blessed Isle is the Volume 1? What is the Scavenger Lands volume number? (I'm sure I see #1 next to Compass of Terrestrial Directions 1: The Scavenger Lands).
    Has anyone also noted this?
    Thanks for your patience.

Re: Compass of Terrestrial Directions bad number?

There's the Compass of Terrestrial Directions line, and then there's the Compass of Celestial Directions one. Blessed Isle is Volume 1 of the Celestial line. Scavenger Lands and West are part of the Terrestrial line.

So...there is going to be a Werewolf Player's Guide before a Vampire Player's Guide? I guess this is taking the place of the Tribe Books for Werewolf..At Least Werewolf is keeping its better use books then vampire requirement!

Yes, any idea when we might see Blood: the Vampire Player's Guide? Your undead fans would love to know...
