    Dark Influences
For the sake of all you who enthusiastically freaked out when I teased our forthcoming Vampire game that uses cards (but is not V:TES), let me assure you. The game, currently called Vampire: Dark Influences is not a CCG. Remember back when not all card games were collectible? It's like that: a complete game in one set. I feel comfortable calling it a card game, though it has a bit of a board game vibe to it, too. Yes, it's set in the Vampire: The Requiem version of the World of Darkness. I'll share more (much more!) about it when it's closer to hitting store shelves. But these kinds of games take a while to come together (as Aaron about Vampire: Prince of the City if you see him at a convention), so you'll have to be patient for a bit.

Suffice to say that V:TES isn't going anywhere.

Current Music: Juno Reactor, "Hotaka (Extended Version)"

    Yay! Thank you!

As much as I prefer the nWoD Vampire to the oWoD Vampire, I also like a supported CCG - especially one as good as Jyhad - over splitting a fanbase. Making this one non-collectible means I'll probably even end up buying it (as if WWGS didn't already get a large portion of my paychecks..)

Sounds cool. There’s no way I’d buy a V:tR ccg after the amount that I’ve invested in V:TES (especially as I don’t play V:tR). But a standalone game – that’s something that I would pick up.

Vampire: Prince of the City is the board game based on the V:tR setting. There are currently 3 V:tR novels out.

I feel dumb, that's right, I knew about the board game, I know about the novels, I've read them and the chicago book story, but is there going to be more novels? If so does anyone know when?

I hope we don't have to wait for it as long as we did with Prince of the City. How many years was that one in development?

You know, with James Cameron's Multiverse eventually permitting purchased use of their servers for MMORPGs, the improved Source Engine being purchasable for use in computer graphical products, and other nicities, I'd think that White Wolf would either hire about three to five trustworthy, hard-working programmers and leap into the MMO arena.

At the very least, a partnership with Obsidian might work...
