If your story is not complete, don't be afraid to submit a link to the first chapter (or your memories where you'll be archiving the story, so that people can check up on it). Your fic does not need to be complete in order to be listed here.

Can you believe we're into the second half of November already? This means that we're drawing closer to the due date for your Which Witch Ficathon stories.

As a reminder, stories are due on December 6, 2008. On that date a master post will go up and you can post links to your stories there. If you have finished your story early, you are welcome to post it sooner, just don't forget to submit a link to it so that everyone else can read it too.

Minimum word count: 1500 words

While sign-ups technically ended yesterday, RL has busy and I didn't have time to send out a reminder before. So if you haven't signed up yet, you have until 8pm EST to do so today (Sunday) at whichwillow

Assignments will be sent out tonight.

Below the cut you will find this year's prompts to choose from. There are four prompts per (television) season, plus four prompts for possible crossovers. If some prompts look familiar, it's because we kept ones that weren't written last year.

Look over the choices and then reply in the comments with your three favorite prompts, including pairings (if applicable). Keep in mind that more than one person can use one prompt, as long as they're writing different pairings. Don't forget to include your name and email address, since we'll be emailing out the assignments.

I'll go through the requests, and then on October 5th I'll send out your assignments. Simple enough, right? If you have any questions, just ask!

I am very excited to once again bring you the ficathon featuring our favorite witch, Willow Rosenberg. Sadly, kallie_kat is unable to co-mod this year, so I will be running this year's ficathon alone. This is our on-going attempt to try to get more Willow-centric stories written. So pick your favorite pairing and sign on up to help spread the Willow love.

I don't know if all of you were aware of this, but I am the new owner of the Willowy Goodness Awards, an annual awards site dedicated to Willow fanfiction. We are currently accepting nominations for Willow-centric fic until January 31st.

There were some great writers and stories that were involved with the ficathon and I hope that you liked them enough, or other stories by these authors, to nominate them at the Willowy Goodness Awards. Please make sure that you read the rules before submitting any nominations.

If you have not already submitted a link to your story, please do so as a comment to this post. Anything submitted today (Sunday, October 15th) by midnight will be eligible for the Best Characterization Award. We will post the poll with the eligible fics tomorrow. You will then have a week to vote.

If you are still working on your story, please don't be dismayed. We still want you to finish it. You can submit your fic whenever it is completed, it just won't be eligible for the award. The point of this ficathon, after all, is to encourage the writing of Willow fics, not to put undue pressure on the authors.

This is just a reminder that the deadline for submitting your finished stories is October 15th, which is two weeks from Monday. Fics can be submitted after that deadline, but they won't be eligible for the voting if they're submitted after October 15th.

If you are already finished, feel free to comment to this post with a link to your story (comments will be screened). Otherwise, we will post another reminder on the 15th, and you can reply to that post with a link to your story. On the 15th, we will post a master list with links to all the stories, along with instructions for voting.

kallie_kat emailed your assignments this morning, so hopefully everyone received them. Everyone should have gotten their first choices. If for some reason you did not, please let us know. Also, if you did not receive your assignment, please let us know.
