Buenas! Welcome to "Where it's Safe," an LJ community to discuss the dynamic, both real and (feverishly) imagined between Peter Tork and Mike Nesmith of the Monkees. Conjecture, screencaps, artwork, fiction ... hell, pretty much anything goes. Just slap a disclaimer on it (Peter loves surfing the Net, I hear), and we're good to go.
A note about RPF: I am a big fan of the Peter and Mike that, sadly, didn't really exist. In other words, my main deal is and will be what we saw on the show, not necessarily what was true of their relationship in real life. But although RPF is not my personal bag, it's welcome here, as long as it's disclaimered and such.
My own disclaimer: I am in no way trying to imply that a romantic relationship exists or existed between Peter H. Thorkelson and Robert Michael Nesmith. Even though they lived together at one time, met each other before they met the others in the group/show, admired - to a point - each other's musical abilities, and sang backup on each other's post-Monkees albums, they hated each other. Really. Says so in every Monkees book ever written. Yup, yup.
