This popped into my head today and it's from a scene in a movie I'm pretty sure, though I don't remember what movie. And it's a high-pitched male voice, kind of indie pop-ish/80s, singing:

"You make me
You make me wet"

There's a distinct pause between the lines. I tried the songtapper and Google and nothing came up. Help, I need this song!

(If you're musically inclined, the first "you" falls on beat 2 of 4 in the measure and each word in the first line is a quarter note, and then there's a dotted qtr rest before the 2nd "you" is an 8th note, and each subsequent word is a qtr on the offbeats. Phew that would have been easier to explain if I could have written it out haha.)

I remember there being a puppet doing music videos that had lyrics like "Show you where my favorite place is, doooown!" about riding elevators, and one about "We gotta get ready to go", about getting packed, or getting dressed or something.

Does anyone remember what the puppet was called?
I read this book at least seven years ago. There's a scene where the serial-killer-killer does gymnastics blindfolded, subtly intimidating a fellow FBI agent. The female agents all have the hots for him for some reason. Basically works in the FBI because he gets his kicks hunting and killing other killers.

Totally not Dexter.

For some reason my brain decided to reach back into the "dormant memories" files. Last night for no particular reason I started thinking about what I'm pretty sure was a story I read as a kid. All I remember is that there was a girl (could have been a boy, but I'm pretty sure it was a girl) who didn't want her hair cut so she wished that every time her hair was cut, it would grow twice as fast. Of course this causes a lot of complications. That's all I can remember. I can't remember how old I was when I read this.

EDIT: Found - it's Melisande, or, Long and Short Division.

Book of scary stories?

All I remember about this book, is the fact that it was filled with short scary stories.

One of them is about a trio of girls that are walking home one day and see an old woman washing some blood stained clothes in a creek. This is apparently, some kind of death omen, and one by one, the girls die.

I don't remember how the first girl dies, but the second one chokes on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The third one accidentally drinks hair dye or something, mistaking it to be cough medicine.

Another one was about a boy who was the only survivor of a plane crash in the desert, and he starts following the sun to try and find civilization. Except he ends up ending a complete dumbass and going in a circle back to the plane wreck.

Does anyone have any clue what I'm talking about? I know, or at least am almost positive that these scary story books were in a series, and that it /definitely/ wasn't Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.

Okay, so I posted this to The Question Club, and some kindly person suggested that maybe you guys could help me out on this one! It's been driving me nuts.

I distantly remember reading a story when I was little from a paperback of collected unexplained mysteries. The book was kinda old, and the cover I remember on my version had a pair of hands cradling but not touching a glowing light bulb, superimposed over a shot of the ocean. The story I'm interested in was about a plane crashing, and I think it was supposed to be true.

What I remember goes like this: it was not a passenger plane, and it was being flown by a pilot and co-pilot. When it was in the air, the control station began receiving strange and frantic radio messages from them, saying that there was something in the plane with them that shouldn't have been. They got more and more panicked, and the pilot died. The co-pilot landed the plane, but died immediately after, before anybody could figure out what happened. When the plane was opened, there was nothing there but a strange smell and I think some weird dust. It may or may not have been in the Bermuda Triangle, and I think it may have been suggested that it was aliens.

I've tried google and looked through snopes, but I've come up blank.

Has anybody else ever heard this story? Is there any suggestion that it's true, or is it actually a fiction story and I just forgot? If it is true, does anybody know where I could find out more?

If you knew the way I felt it might make a change in me. I'm in misery now, the way I feel, but you could give my heart a thrill if you'd say that you love me like I'm in love with you. But I don't guess you care, the way you're treating me. You must love another the same way I love you. I know you are the one, dear. I'd never make you blue. But you're in love with someone else like I'm in love with you."

I know that sounds like a really screwed-up thing to sing to your kid but it was really funny. I'm curious to know what it is. I googled some of the lyrics but didn't find it.

I'm thinking it could be this: http://www.musicstack.com/item/9044675/harry+james/he's+my+guy_fsz_you're
It's old enough that the lyrics might not be anywhere online.

and something else: I've posted this twice in hpstoryfinders and once in whatwasthatbook and never found it, but it's worth trying to find here too. It was a Harry Potter slash fanfiction--well, I'm not sure it was actually slash, because there might not have really been a relationship, just gay characters. I think it had a lot of chapters and I didn't read it at fanfiction.net. It was probably written between OotP/HBP or maybe GoF/OotP. It was about three gay guys, minor male characters on the good side--I'm thinking Seamus and Justin were two of them. Maybe the other guy was Colin Creevey or something?

Well, anyway, I remember a scene where one of the guys, who is younger and less sure of himself, is like "omg I hate myself for being gay it's disgusting/wrong" and one of the other guys randomly makes out with the third guy and then says "did that look wrong to you?" And I think then it's awkward because the two guys who kissed realize that they like each other. I have no idea why I want to find this fic so much--if I do, I bet I'll be really disappointed.

Young Adult book pre-1990 or so

So, in this book, which I read once many many years ago and only dimly recall, the following things happened:

<s>There were two brothers. There was a house fire, and one brother saved the other brother by grabbing him and jumping out the window, positioning his body so he took the impact of the fall. The brother who broke the fall, I believe, died.

This happens either in the very beginning of the book, or is gradually revealed to us during flashbacks and remembering sequences. It is not the main body of the book.

In the main body of the book, I believe that the brother who survived ends up in a land that may or may not be heaven. His brother is there, but maybe they don't meet up right away? His brother is referred to (I think!!) as Richard the Lionhearted. I'm pretty sure "the Lionhearted" was in there, anyway. The land is all kind of questy and Narnia-like - there may or may not have been talking animals, but there were definitely adventures and knights and that sort of thing. I remember someone telling the new brother, when he sets off on a quest, to always set out with the wind at his back.

The other possibility is that the brother who survived doesn't enter into it at all, and it's all about what happens to the brother who dies, after he dies.

I know it's not much and it's pretty generic - but hopefully someone can help? Thank you!!

**edit** - I asked my sister and she remembered! It's called the Brothers Lionheart. However, it looks like the *way* that he died is something I remembered from another book - does that ring a bell with anyone?</s>

**edit the second** Nope, that part's still the Brothers Lionheart! Thanks!

it's me again with another movie:

Don't know when exactly it was made, but I assume the 90's
Story as I remember:
one man drives on a large road, hears on the news about a thief who stole a lot of cash, he looks at a suitcase (one of those metal ones) on the passenger's seat.
He picks up a hitchhiker.
Then we learn that a serial killer is on the loose.
Implications are made about the two men: the older one (the driver) is implied to be the thief, while the younger one is implied to be the killer. These turn out to be wrong though as it's the other way around.
There is a scene with a poker game between the two and the money that has been stolen, in this scene it is implied that the older one lost a lot of money to the younger one but later on (as mentioned above) it turns out it was the other way around.

I only saw the movie once on video years ago so I don't really remember anything useful.

I'm thinking of a movie. Probably a popular one, but I don't know. I only remember this one scene.

It's dark, and it takes place in a city. A guy who I think might be the main character walks by, and a random man stops him and shows him a huge wad of money and says something like "look at all this money", or challenges him to a bet or offers to pay him with it or something. The first guy then says "How do I know that's not a bunch of ones wrapped in a twenty?"

I can't remember the scene exactly, I just remember the money. I think it might have been kind of an important moment, or took place during an important moment, even though it was very short. Can anyone help me? :(

I was wondering if anyone knew what the song that plays during the current tv ads for the upcoming season of Bones is? I think it's a Jamaican singer but I'm not sure. I would google it but I haven't been able to catch what is actually being sung. I'm in the U.S. if it helps any.

For the second one, I'm wondering who sings a version of the song, Can't Help Falling in Love. The singer I'm looking for is male and I think he was Jamaican but I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure he was foreign at least. The version I'm looking for is not the A*Teens version, I have that and that one has two girls and two guys singing. I tried google and was unable to find anything.

Thanks for advance for your help.

Edit: Second one solved. It's UB40
