I saw this particular book on display at the bookstore a couple of months back, some time between January 2008 and March 2008. I can only remember vaguely what I read on the back cover. As best as I could remember, there were 3-4 main characters, and it was something like three central characters seeing the same psychiatrist and at the end of the week, this psychiatrist has sessions with another shrink to deal with his/her personal problems. Unfortunately, this is all I remember, but it's been bugging me so much! I didn't have enough money to buy the book when I saw it :( |

There's a TV show exactly like this so maybe it's a book based on the show.
it sounds exactly like the HBO show "In Treatment". Great show.
Must have been a DVD of In Treatment (which is an excellent show, btw).
Could it possibly be a new reprint of Nigel balchin's Mine Own Executioner. he's the man who invented Aero and named Kit Kat and also wrote The Small back Room
I think it must be a reprint, because upon searching on the internet, the original print has been out of print (and very expensive). Do you have a link you could guide me towards this new reprint?
Thank you.
Sorry, I meant that a recent sighting would be a reprint, because it's been out of print so long - but he died recently, so reprints are likely. I bought a copy in a charity shop about a year ago.
In case you didn't know - I forgot to mention that all psychoanalysts have to undergo analysis themselves - but I doubt that they have weekly sessions unless there's an ongoing problem, as there seems to be in this case. | |
