Upcoming Events At Dragon's Lair! Oct. 3rd, 2007 @ 05:30 pm
[info]rangerdrakeson
Okay, these are above and beyond the existing Tournament (1000-pt Cities of Death) for the month.

On October 6th, we have the Iron Builder Event for 40k. Come bring everything that you don't have assembled, and assemble it! Duke it out afterwards!

Get the details here.

On October 13th, we also have the Warhammer 40k Apocalypse Release Event! Come out, and get the newest, hottest stuff from GW!

Get details here.

And then, to help you get all of your new Apocalypse units ready, we've got another Iron Builder on the 27th.

Now, the possible conflict with that last Iron Builder is that it happens the same day as our monthly Tournament. So, we might have to be nice, and share the room.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you out there for these special events!

Take care,

Brian

Upcoming Changes... Sep. 29th, 2007 @ 04:08 pm
[info]crakrabbit

Ok.  Sorry about the months, years, centuries since my last post to the LJ.  Been busy.  Nuff said.

Upcoming changes.  That is what the title says and that is what is coming down the pipe.

1)  Renaming the website and livejournal.  Basically, the website is going to be renamed as something that goes with the Wymer Event Packet website / database of tournament packets, etc, etc...  The livejournal will just be renamed to match that local Austin gaming scene is welcome to post on it.  And is no longer restricted to just Dragon's Lair Austin.

2)  The website will be redone to be a website version of the standard tournament packet with variable pts tables for variable army sizes and how exactly everything is scored so that anyone can use it.

3)  I will also make printable posters in PDF format.  You open them up with Adobe Acrobat Reader, type in the required info and you print it out.

Basically, I am trying to make it where I am not required to do much at all for Dragon's Lair.  I am the Tournament Judge for Ninja Pirates; they have generally a new group of peps and they are still learning the rules and what works best for them.

That is about it for now, Cheers!

'Ard Boyz tourney this Saturday! Sep. 17th, 2007 @ 09:04 pm
[info]rangerdrakeson
Yes, at Dragon's Lair we will be running the 'Ard Boyz tournament this upcoming Saturday, September 22nd. It's a 2500 point battle, and a qualifier for the next round. Check out the post on the GW side of things.

I would like a show of hands/posts, of who is intending to show up at Dragon's Lair for this event. Please post in the reply section. I hope to see all of our regular players there!

Take care,

Brian

Hello, few people who watch this space. :)

I will be selling fabulous bitz out of my faboulous bitz box o'er the next few meetups. If you wish to buy some bitz, please, comment here, or contact me directly.

I have, in decreasing order of 'sheer amount'...

Space Marine
Ork
Dark Angel
Black Templar
Tau
Tyranid
Chaos
SM Terminator
SM Vehicle (mostly weapons)
Eldar

Also, some Warhammer Fantasy (totally random, some High Elves, some Ogre Kingdoms, sime Lizardmen, and so on).

I have everything sorted out in neat little boxes, inclduing seperations such as Purity seals, weapons, scrolls, iron halo's, etc. etc.

I am willing to sell, or trade. Trade, as usual, will be preferred. I am looking for Kroot and Imperial Guard bitz and kits of all types.

Now's your chance to get those little fiddly bits you've wanted, but not have to pay through the nose for 'em. :)

First off, thanks to all the players that joined in on the chaotic fun that is/was the Local Grand Tournament of 2007!

Next, Player submissions of possible scenarios / missions is still open (it will be for some time too!), so feel free to express your creative instinct and have fun.

Cheers!
