Inspired by this odd instance of canon DC Elseworlds:

The new Earth-3 features a heroic female counterpart to Two-Face: Evelyn Dent — "Three-Face" — the mother of Duela Dent. Unlike Two-Face, Evelyn has three personalities and she is not scarred, although she has a cybernetic left arm, after Superwoman mutilates her. Her original affiliation is to the heroic Riddler Family.

I'm just curious about:

1) What people think of this character, if you know her. What you like/dislike/what would you change, etc.

2) What you think of a moral reverse of Harvey Two-Face, where he remained 'good,' or close to it, and was a straight up vigilante (but keeps his original gender). Or, full reverse with Harvey being a criminal from the start, and then turning 'good'--opposite path of moral development.

3) If Two-Face were female, how would that affect the character (whatever moral alignment). I.e. Bigger Daddy Issues? Work harder to be Gotham's youngest D.A.? Even succeed in becoming D.A.? Het. or in love with Gilda/Grace (or is she genderbent too?) The subtext between Harvey and Bruce becomes more text. Joker would've dressed in a doctor's uniform rather than a nurse's in TDK? And etc. Would it affect the character at all?

ETA & P.S. funhouseofevil is a comm. for Earth-3 and other DC moral reverses, canon or otherwise. Check out the tags, look around, and some interesting stuff/fic on Two-Face's genderbent counterpart can be found.

Spoilers/Author's note: This story takes place immediately after the close of Batman Confidential 26-28. ***SPOILERS*** In that arc, the Riddler and Batman team up to defeat a riddle-bearing King Tut. You can understand this story without having read the books (but they're great fun), with this somewhat-spoilery information in mind. The Riddler provides a diversion by clocking Batman in the jaw with his cane, knocking him out cold. Instead of taking advantage of the blindsided Bat, he tries to rescue Tut's hostage and later heads back to Arkham quite peacefully - but not before reminding Batman that every good riddle needs an audience.

So mistress_kabuki, and I were discussing the origin of people's names earlier today. How some folks are named after characters in media or after real people. (Granted it was on our long commute around dawn, so it was pretty crack-tastic...) Then we ended up talking about how Harvey might have been given his name, and if there were any double-personality people or characters he might have been named after.

Of course the only reference to Harvey we could make was a film reference to Harvey the invisible rabbit made in Roger Rabbit. Anybody remember this? What's amusing about this is that it kind of resembles Harvey's darker, "invisible" side that's brought to light in his scarring. And if you read the synopsis of Harvey (the play) it's kind of amusing when you think of our Harvey. ;-)

Of course, I had to find out if it was actually plausible. Two-Face was created in 1942, and the play that inspired Harvey the film was released in 1944. Off by two years...

Anyway, what do you all think? Any other idea where Harvey got his name? He's kind of considered a 20s gangster in a way I think, so maybe something from that time period inspired it?

All My Villains is a multi-fandom RPG set in a combination of the DC comics ‘verse and post-TDK Nolanverse. While many of the characters are based in Gotham, we welcome characters from any comics-affiliated fandom, from Smallville to Marvel.
