Yay! Wesley Clark said Tuesday he wants to avoid waiting too late to make a decision on whether to run for president

I get another chance to vote for someone I'd actually *want* to have as President rather than the lesser of two weevils. Only problem is, his sources of income are Hillary's sources of income, and she already tapped 'em.

Hi, I am an aussie with a strong interest in US Politics and would be a party Democrat if I were there.

Anyhow, I have been looking at Clark recently and am impressed by the man.

I have watched the 'Real State of the Union' address and read the wikipedia entry.

Could anyone recommend a good biology that includes personal or policy insight?

Clark is still popping up here and there and so if folks are still interested in reading about him, i'll leave it open. but if no one cares anymore, it makes sense to delete it so that trolls won't clutter our friends pages. :)

I'm new here (and to LJ in general) so pardon me if I make a mistake!

I was wondering if anyone had any substantive updates on what the General has been up to since '04? I call myself a politcal junkie, but I have totaly lost track of him.

I have also added a feed syndication for http://wes-clark.forclark.com which remains active. The feed is wes_clark_blog (I'd also syndicate http://blog.forclark.com, but for some reason it isn't aggregating all the community posts :P)

You know, I *really* miss the Clark campaign. Or rather, I miss believing that we could have a President I can believe in *very soon*.

Clark '08 anyone?

Ahh...I was just watching the video about Wes.."American Son". I think Kerry is a great candidate, but I really miss Wes. I wish that he was at least the VP nominee. Oh well. If Kerry loses and we have 4 more years of Bush (shudder)...lets work hard to draft Clark again for '08.

This is a signifigant action needed for Clark supporters.

MSNBC is having a poll to find out which candidate would make the best vice-president for John Kerry, and our man Clark is on the list. We're not sure if Clark is entertaining the idea of vice presidency, but I'm sure all of us would love to throw our vote in. Click on the link listed above and fill out the poll. Then tell us how you ranked, and why. Or, if you'd rather not, just please tell us your ranks.

1 - Wesley Clark. He's the man. As a former NATO commander, he can bring to the table the best ability to counter Bush's main arguement - defense. Most Americans still think Bush is doing a good job with defense (suprisingly.) Kerry and Clark are both war vets, so they have a signifigant trait in common as well.

2 - John Edwards. He has the largest following, and can bring in a lot of the southern states. (Arguably, more than Clark.) He does seem to have stances most similar to Kerry (from what I understand.)

3 - John McCain. Although formally aligned with the Republicans, he's always been more of a independent, really. Although changing parties could cause political suicide, I think it would ultimately bring in a lot of normally Republican voters.

4 - Howard Dean. Despite that speech, I think he's still a very respectable guy. However, I can see people drawing a lot of criticsm from the Republicans.

5 - Bob Graham. I've been in politics for a while, and I can't say I know the guy. Popularity unfortuately is a big thing for most voters, I would imagine, and I don't think people would vote for someone who hasn't been in the spotlight much.
