Habang Naghahantay Sa Unang Araw Ng Recording 6 Septyembre 2006 Sa tutoo lang, sandali pa lamang ang pagsasama ko sa Sugarfree. Oo nga, naging estudyante ko si Ebe, ngunit hindi kami noon naguusap tungkol sa kanyang banda. Una ko lang nalaman ang banda mula kay Raimund Marasigan. Naikwento niya nung taong 2000 na masaya silang panuurin sa gig, at malakas sila sa mga fans. Balang araw, sisikat sila na parang Eraserheads. Nung 2003, nakita ko ang video ng Mariposa. Napabilib ako sa musika, at sa video. At nangyari nga ang sinabi ni Raimund, naging napakapopular nila. Nung kalagitnaan ng 2005, kinuwento ni Raimund sa akin na may plano nang mag-record uli ang Sugarfree. Dahil si Raimund at Buddy ang nag prodyus ng "Dramamachine", kukunin sana sila ulit. Ngunit bising-bisi sila nung panahong 'yon, kaya't pinayo ni Raimund na halungkatin nila ako sa UP para tumulong sa kanila. Kung kaya, maaga pa lang, alam kong may balak tawagin ako ni Ebe. Matagal ang lumipas bago makipagkita sa akin si Ebe. Sa isang gig ni Dong Abay noong patapos na kami sa album na "Flipino" nung Marso 2006, kinuwento ni Ebe na 2005 pa sana ang deadline ng album ng Sugarfree, pero hindi niya ito masimulan. Sobra ang pagod niya sa dami ng gig at iba't ibang trabaho, at parang "burnout" na siya. Isa pa, ang mga naumpisahan niyang kanta ay kahawig ng mga dating kanta, at parang inuulit lang niya ang sarili niya. Ang payo namin ni Dong ay gumawa siya ng panahon para 1) makapagsarili muna siya na walang manggugulo sa pagiisip niya, at 2) lumayo siya na mga parating pinupuntahan niyang lugar, para magkaroon ng bagong pananaw at kwento. Sa wakas, nung Agosto ng 2006, binisita ako ng Ebe, dala niya ang isang demo CD na may labing-tatlong bagong kanta. Ayon sa kanya, nagkulong siya sa isang condo ng buong Hulyo para mabuo niya ang mga kanta. Sinimulan na rin niyang ituro sa banda ang mga kanta. Pinakinggan ko ang demo ng isang linggo, tapos sumulat ako ng mga mahabang kritikal na rebyu tungkol sa mga kanta. Sa akin, ito ang simula ng pagkasali ko sa proyekto. Nag-attend ako ng mga ensayo nila, at pinanood ko sila sa ilang gig para makilala ko ang kanilang kakayahan, at estilo ng pagtugtog. Sumali rin ako sa e-group ng banda, para malaman ang mga katangian na hinahanap at hanahangaan ng mga fans sa banda. Natutuwa ako sa lalim ng suporta ng mga fans sa kanila. Hindi tumagal at sinimulan ko ang negosasyon sa EMI. Nakilala ko si Chris Sy, ang managing director ng kumpanya, at ang ibang tumutulong sa banda tulad to Monch Bontogon. Madali kaming nagkasundo sa budget, dahil buo ang suporta ng EMI sa banda. Nakipag-usap na rin ako sa studio para sa iskedul. 2001 ang huling pagtatagpo namin ni Angie Rosul sa Tracks studyo. Matagal kong nakasama si Angie sa pagrecord ng Eraserheads, kung kaya naging reunion ang pagkikita namin. Naging malalim ang pag-uusap tungkol sa karanasan niya sa banda, at sa mga balak kong gawin sa bagong album. Unang araw namin ngayon sa studyo. Bagama't sandali pa lang ang pagsasama ko sa Sugarfree, pero parang kampanteng-kampante na ako sa kanila. Matagal at maselan ang trabahong hinaharap namin, subali't buo ang loob ko na maganda ang magiging resulta. |

It will be at ELBOW ROOM in METROWALK, Ortigas Center, Pasig. Program starts at 7:00PM with our barkada bands performing with us. J It will also serve as Mitch’s Farewell Party so this is your chance to see Mitch perform with Sugarfree for the last time. This is also your chance to talk to the band, say your goodbyes to Mitch and enjoy old and new music! I say new because this is also your opportunity to meet Kaka! I don't know how to say this, but sige, wala nang pasikot sikot... Being Sugarfree's most dedicated, sincerest and truest fans, you guys deserve to be the first ones to know before word gets around. This month (July) marks as my last month as a member of Sugarfree. Many will say... Why let the band go knowing na nasa taas ka na? Why leave if you're in a position where you're already able to enjoy the fruits of your harwork? Bakit ka aalis eh ang dami mo nang isinakripisyo para maabot mo ang kinalalagyan mo ngayon? Ito ang sagot ko...It is because of these sacrifices that I've made that I've realized that I have to go. To help Sugarfree to get to where the band is right now, my time with my family and friends have suffered a lot. And as most of you know, when I say family, this includes my son, and my son is my most dearest possession.. Right now, I'm in a situation where I think my family and friends need my time and focus more. It would also be unfair to Ebe and Jal if i would not be able to give my full commitment and focus given that they've given more effort (compared to me) to bring Sugarfree to this level. There is no bad blood between me and Ebe nor between me and Jal. Nagkakaintindihan naman kaming tatlo, we will continue to be friends :) Again, I just have my own priorities to attend to and I don't want to pull the band down because of my other commitments. To be completely transparent, I will continue to play music but with other bands since I will always have that passion to create and play music. But this time my playing music will purely be for recreation, hobby lang :) I'll be in an environment where in I'll be in control of my pace and time. Tugtog lang ako kung kelan ko trip at kung kelan 'di mahahassle oras ko sa pamilya at mga kaibigan ko :) Before I end, for the whole duration of my stint with Sugarfree, thank you thank you for your support to the band. Sayang lang na 'di ko kayo lahat na meet but for those listers and fans I've met, you've been very very nice and warm to me, thank you :) I'll be replaced by Mr. Carlo Quisumbing, you can call him Kaka. He's an excellent drummer and more importantly, he's really a nice kid and very good looking :) Please please extend to him the same support (kung pwede more) and warmth that you've always shown me. I'm sure Kaka will help bring Sugarfree to really higher levels :) I suggest that you come to the gigs this July para you can meet him, he'll be tagging along na sa mga gigs this month ;) Please continue to support Sugarfree. The band is coming out with its third album this October. Ganito na lang, help spread the word to watch out for a leaner better Sugarfree, ayus ba? :) Personally, I'm really excited how the new unit will sound, I'm expecting great things :) Hanggang dito na lang po. hey im selling my acoustic guitar :)
i already got rid of my first acoustic guitar i got from my uncle and now im selling my second guitar.

and another reason why im selling it is because my guitar teacher (kuya benjo) advised me not to play any acoustic guitar from now on especially if i want to focus on shredding (fast plucking/picking). i'm only allowed to play electric or classical(nylon) guitars (i'll have 3 guitars - 2 electric, 1 classical - once i sell this acoustic).
again, my acoustic guitar is for sale.

i was surprised when i learned that it was made in china. i never thought that chinese guys would make good instruments :P hehe
anyhow, i bought it 2 years ago because of its warm tone. it sounds good and still looks good too. i clean the guitar with pledge. the shine is still there and although it has some scratches, it still looks new (thanks to pledge.. hehe). :) i only changed this guitar's strings twice (using d'addario strings)
it comes with a soft case and the good thing about this guitar is that it has d'addario exp (extended play) light phosphor bronze acoustic guitar strings. these strings are one of the best strings for an acoustic guitar. it costs around 750php [more expensive than the electric guitar strings! (which would cost around 300-450php)]. :P
the price: 4k, negotiable

We first got load of Sugarfree—the little band known by huge hits—in 2003. We have tasted their sweet victory from 'Telepono,' 'Mariposa,' 'Burnout,' 'Hari Ng Sablay,' 'Prom,' 'Kwarto' and a lot more of the band’s crafty compositions from their albums 'Sa Wakas' (2003) and 'Dramachine '(2004). And as we heed into another year of success for this hardworking trio, they are back in studios with their latest 'Dramachine' re-packaged album.
 Ebe Dancel on vocals, Jal Taguibao on guitars and Mitch Singson on drums, collectively known as Sugarfree has come a long way for their own niche in pinoy rock music. after dieta sa gigs, finally! yahooooo! nakapanood ulit ako. yipee! we (ako po, frances and buds) drove to cavite city last night to catch sugarfree's gig there sa padi's point. 45 kilometers of fun driving and anticipation na mapapanood namin ulit sugarfree. the gig didn't fail us. kahit nakakatakot yung itsura ng venue sa labas kse nakatakip lang ng colored na sako sa gilid ng kalye, steady naman pala sa loob. 9 songs, sulit! yay! sinta, burnout, kwarto, bilanggo, prom, makita kang muli, tulog na, mariposa, at hari ng sablay. si mitch, gumagwapo, swear! gwapo gwapo nya kagabi. must be the smiles and the hair na naka-gel. si ebe, adorable and entertaining sa crowd as usual. kaming tatlo: ang galing ni ebe! and we(i) kept on saying it, ang galing ni ebe! to the point na narealize namin na wala namang argument at wala naman kumukontra sa statement na magaling si ebe, yet we(i) repeated saying it many times pa din. eh sa ang galing talaga ni ebe eh! wuhoo! hahaha! i think fiesta celebration yun kaya festive ang mood. may mga umakyat ng poste para makapanood nang di nagbabayad sa pamatay na entrance. may nagvivideoke ng hari ng sablay sa labas ng gig na rinig na rinig sa gig venue. laughtrip yung part na kinanta na nung nagvivideoke yung chorus while everyone else fell silent to listen tapos sobrang baba na ng tono nya dahil siguro di nya kaya boses ni ebe. side ot: aside from stopping over sa bahay ni aguinaldo sa kawit, maaga kami nakadating sa cavite city so we checked out nearby bars and night life further into the city. meron kami nakita na bar:
