Math pants
Some of you guys were interested in seeing pictures of my math pants when they were done- and they are! Pictures and more info can be found here.

Any time anyone sees them, the first thing they ask is whether I can use them to cheat on a math test. Silly people.

Oh, that's great :). (I'd make a further comment about the model, but given that you're 11 years my junior, it'd just make me feel like an even dirtier old man than I really am.)

Sharpie holds up to at least a few washings.

If you ever get very inspired, you could use the writing as a guide and embroider it all on, or hire it out.

We'll see how dirty they'll get before I'm willing to do one of those washings...

Embriodery's a good idea- probably not for these pants, because there's a lot of small detail, but if I make another pair I might do that from the beginning.

Way awesome!

Heh, funny you should mention people asking to use those pants to cheat on math tests, since I have a Calculus final tomorrow. (I'm no cheater by nature though, so I wouldn't dare ask of that.)

Cool. :) Cooler than I expected, even. Although of limited personal utility unless you have a mirror or a healthy attitude towards pantslessness. ;)

Oh, BTW, I love the tagline on your site. :)

Thanks! I use the tagline mostly as a way of getting people to pronounce "lodenocity" correctly. I don't have my own city! ;)

Oh why not? It'd be fun! And extra.... lodeny. That sounds kind of comforting, but also a bit like larceny. Must ponder. ;)

'86- Alas, you have me by two years. Do you find that you know a ridiculous number of people with birthdays right near yours? I know tons of people (both my parents, two uncles, a friend's mother, a next-door neighbor, at least two friends) with birthdays in the same week as mine.

Why yes. My mother's birthday is two days after ours. A schoolfriend of mine is on Halloween... What do you think Springtime is for??

My parents have had sex exactly three times in their entire lives, and each of those times were with each other and meant only for reproduction. It was very mechanical, there was no pleasure involved at all. They didn't like it.

Denial can be so comforting.
