[Jan. 14th, 2009|10:18 pm] |
Could someone please lead me to an easy first-knitted-amigurumi pattern? I can crochet and I can (sort of) knit. I don't know how to increase/decrease when knitting, but I won't learn how to do it until I have to (when crocheting, I learned how to do anything more than sc by following an amigurumi pattern). I know knitting is different and it'll require multiple needles, but I can learn if someone can lead me to an easy pattern. I am on ravelry (starbreeze89), so if there's a pattern there, I can access it. I am also familiar with the lionbrand website if there are any there that I should try. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also, if anyone has any tips on what to do or what not to do when knitting amigurumis, that would be wonderful!
Thanks! |

| knitted amigurumi |
[Dec. 18th, 2008|11:26 am] |
hey everyone, I was doing a patern search on Lion Brand's website, and I found this really cool looking octapus, only insted of Crochet as most of lion brand's amigurumi are, this one was knit on 4 double pointed needles(the eyes are crochet tho), I've never tryed to knit an amigurumi, but the octapus is so cute that I'm willing to give it a try! heck I'll even make one of their crocheted octapi!
oh and, in addition to the octapi patern, theey have 4 other knit paterns, for a fish, an owl, and two diferent mice.
I don't have any pictures of my work so far, but I'll put one up when I'm done! |

| More Food! Jelly Baby Peep! And Pippita Potomus, too! |
[Aug. 14th, 2008|04:25 pm] |
Another food entry for the ami-along, and I actually knitted this one in August!! Who knew?! heh heh I just realized it myself! Wee Jimmy the Jelly Baby for D's Birthday

Jimmy was knitted with some lovely 100% Bamboo yarn from http://www.yarncloud.com called Bamboo Magic Waves. :o)
Also ready for viewing... Pippita Potomus

My Dear Hubbard was so crazy about Pippa Potomus, and was so sad that she was leaving us, that he couldn’t bear to part with her till I made him a Pippita Potomus of his very own, as one of his birthday peeps (though I swore I’d never make another one)! :o)

| Food! |
[Aug. 9th, 2008|12:04 pm] |
Just because I want to be part of the ami-along, even though, I am ... once again... not "alonging" I'm posting some food items that I've previously made. I'm still drowning in birthday gift knitting for the summer and can't squeeze in any "just for fun" projects yet.
So here's my favorite of my food creations:
Ice Cream Dish Jewelry Pouch for Sharon:

And then there are the fruit and vegetable brainz that I've made for my DH's ZomPeeps....

[Jul. 28th, 2008|11:35 pm] |
Well, we've been bandying about with comments about the Thing, so I thought I'd post him, and put him in with the ami-along, 'cause he's in cartoons as well as comics. ;o)
Here's my version of "the ever lovin' Blue Eyed Thing"
