first post... i think
hello there! i have been lurking here for SO long now that i am not entirely sure whether or not i have ever posted. i started crochetting about nine or ten years ago and only recently learned about amigurumi... thought i would share a couple of the things i have done here for now... i am REALLY bad when it comes to taking photos of my stuff as i typically hate everything i have ever made and just give it straight away to a more loving home before i can bond with it. but, to a precious few, i hold on... and here are some of them... please have a looksie!">

this little fella was made upon request because i had a friend who was in love with a local takeaway called 'chick-piz' who's logo was a wee chick sat on a pizza... see!?

he is just a big, fat, unfinished lion i made... i hate him because one of his legs is hugely distorted... i like to pretend he has water retension issues.

this wee delight was a boquet i made for a friend's wedding... she didn't have a lot of money and i thought it would be MUCH more special than some flowers she would have to throw away or dry somewhere.

and some of you may or may not know what this is... it is a stupid dalek that i made for a friend for his birthday. i hate it and all the diffrent stitches i had to use and all the stupid time it took to hand sew all the stupid contrast onto it... but i LOVE the smiles and tears he had on his face when he saw it...

hooray! 

at the moment i am working on a very special project that will be shared as soon as i finish the first bit of it.

You are a seriously creative crocheter! These are all so unique - you must have done them without patterns! That's something I've always wanted to be able to do!

These are amazing - you should be proud of all that hard work! And the lion's leg can be redone - or tie a bandage around it? ;)

Did you use a pattern for the bouquet? I'm getting married in may and I would love to make my own flowers! It's such a great idea! Also I love your dalek! If you haven't already you should check out the group crafty_tardis.

nah, i mostly only ever create as a result of ideas in my head. i don't ever use patterns... well... i say 'ever,' but sometimes one has to. but not for the roses. sorry.

i will check out that community... thanks!

Oo, I actually like the distorted lion the best. He almost looks like a toy that's been loved half to death. :) Cute.

Gee! These are all wonderful! I hope you will learn to love all of your fabulous creations instead of "hating" them! :o) Although, that does make it easier to give them away! heh heh

They're all so clever, I'm having trouble deciding which ones to comment on! I adore that dalek! What did you use as his appendages? I see some bit of something sticking out of one. (his plunger arm? heh heh)

Beautiful Roses! Sweet little lumpy lion! Maybe he's an ALIEN lion, and MEANT to have one leg different! :o) He looks so Cute!

Very clever pizza chick! heh heh
