Recently finished Peeps
I've just put my latest ami/peeps gifts up on flickr:
Including my impressionistic version of Marvel Comics' the Human Torch for Matt
and yet another Cookie Monster for Kristina
Here are some larger photos:
When I saw this yarn, I immediately thought of the Human Torch. :o) Matt loves comics (as I always have) and it's great to have someone to make these for. I had had enough of making more accurate representations of things after making the Thing (for Matt) and the Tazmanian Devil (for Tony - haven't posted his photos to flickr yet! Oops!), so I've gone for a more impressionistic version of the Torch. I think he looks a bit like a fire elemental. :o)

And Cookie, Cookie, Cookie! It looks like there are 4 different Cookie Monsters here, but it's actually only 3 - each of our niece's Cookies posing with my DH's Cookie. :o)
I made an Elmo for Mia and a Cookie for Kristina for Christmas, but when they opened them, Mia (the 3 year old) grabbed Cookie and was so delighted with the two muppets that none of us had the heart to take him away from her (including the older and extremely sweet Kristina), so I promised I'd make another for Kristina. And finally, she's got him!! YAY! :o)

There are a few more photos at www.flickr.com/knittycat
ADDED: Ooops.... forgot to mention that there's a free pattern for Cookie (and Elmo too) at www.knittycat.vox.com
