mobile upload photo - sorry )
Hi everyone, I am hoping some of you consumers & etsy store owners could help me out here. This bunny stands just over 5 1/4" tall from bottom to ears. I am wondering what a decent price to sell him at would be. My friend is commissioning one with skates & a helmet as he's in a male roller derby league. Also, his roommate would like one. I have no idea what to charge & was thinking $10-15. My boyfriend says that is WAY too cheap considering the time (4hrs min.) it takes me to make these guys, however his suggestion of $30-35 seems a little steep to me. He has more experience with these sorts of things however. Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone! My apologies for not being present and commenting on all of your wonderful amigurumi for the past few days... we've been displaced by the homeowners association replacing roofs where we live, and had to move out. Our internet isn't wonderfully consistent, so I haven't been able to do much more than peek at all of your fabulous creations. I'm not sure how long we'll be here, but I will keep checking on things, even if I'm not commenting much.

I just wanted to share something I ran across, just before we left:

Planet June has just created a new Christmas tree pattern that I think is totally adorable! Thought you might enjoy it. :o)

The blog post is here, and the pattern is available in her store.

Hugs from your missing mod...

Beautiful Vibrant Red Cardinal, breathtaking in winter’s snowy backyards. In summer, their sweet whistles are one of the first sounds of the morning.

Cardinal is Crocheted life size at 4 1/4 inches high, and 7 1/4 inches long.
I have seen so many photos of these beautiful birds , I had to crochet me up one. I Will have a pdf pattern available soon, watch my Etsy store

I was searching on raverly for an Asian dragon patter, and while I found some fantastic ones I might still buy I wanted to know if anyone knew of any free ones I could look at. I know there was one going around that looked really nice.

Snoopy and Clifford [Nov. 17th, 2009|11:20 am]

More crochet gifts coming on the hook recently! My mom asked me to make something for her grand-nephew (my cousin's little boy) for her to give at Christmas. She suggested a dog.

I found this great pattern for a Snoopy-type dog. I like Snoopy, so proceeded to make one complete with cute little dog tag that reads "handmade with love". Then I remembered that the gift was intended for an infant not yet 1 year old. Oops. No little choking hazards allowed, and the toy was rather tiny.

So I dug out the super chunky yarn I had left from making my dad a hat last year, and proceeded to make a larger doggie - that's right Clifford the Big Red Dog. His shape is still Snoopy-like, but I think he turned out pretty cute and there are no little parts to choke on. All the details are thread, rather than safety eyes, etc.

One more pic )

As always, there is more pattern and yarn information available in my Ravelry projects for those who are interested and have an account.

Newbie alert!! [Nov. 15th, 2009|08:48 pm]

[mood | confused]

Hi all! I have to start by saying all of your little creations are so fabulous! It makes me want to make dozens of them and place them strategically around my house :D

Any who, I haven't crocheted since I was 13 or so but I picked up Creepy Cute Crochet today because I HAD to have some of these little guys about. Now, I realize I'm much more than a bit out of practice, but my poor little groom looks quite....special? His head is bigger than his body and as far as I can tell he's inside out, lol. Needless to say he looks nothing like the pictures :/ He's all fuzzy and warped and generally pretty roughed up lookin'.

I've done a little digging on youtube for some tutorials and intros and such, but are there any other places online that would have vid's you'd recommend? I don't want to give up on these, but maybe they just aren't my forte...

Also, do you have any yarn brand suggestions? I went with Lion, and although it works well for me for making hair falls, I can't seem to get it to work how technically should :/

Thanks so much! (=^-^=)

Summer got a bit crazy for me and crocheting took the hit. But with the cooler weather, I've been back to the hooks!

My latest is an ami for a motorcycle riding friend whose biker buddies call themselves the "Yak Riders"...apparently, they decided that "yak" was a better nickname for their bikes than "hawg". LOL.

got Yak? )

Christmas presents [Nov. 15th, 2009|01:34 pm]

Every year my one friend rotates her Christmas decorations between a Snowman Christmas, Santa Christmas, and Penguin Christmas. She has a lot of time on her hands, lol. This year is a Snowman Christmas, so for her birthday in October I made her the snowman off of the Lion Brand website.

Snowman )

For Christmas I decided to make her the penguin and santa off of the Lion website, too, so she has a complete set.

Penquin and Santa )

Now I just have to wait to give them to her. That's the hardest part, lol!

[mood |creative]

Hi...

I have started to make some little Amigurumi and since I don't have much money this year for gifts I thought I would make Amigurumi for my nephew...
now I have looked around and I haven't found something to help me much on my project... you see I am looking for a base pattern really beauce I want to make Astro as an Amigurumi I know someone did an Etsy for Astro the original version but my nephew only know the blue jacket version.

I'm pretty sure I can figure out the pointy parts by myself... but I would need a good base body... Any free patterns I could base this off?

Thank you for your help, I personally would like the old version of Astro but kids nowdays...if it's not close it's no cigar...

Every October, I make one unique Moon Bun design for every day in October. Usually I put these up in the community as one big post soon after the series is over, but this year, I was so busy I didn't have the time until now.

Enjoy!
