From what I understand text is not in their definition of graphic porn and is thus okay. But we all know how trustworthy LJ has been especially in the last year, which is why I wanted to ask.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there were even posts to it yesterday, so it must have happened in the last 16 hours or so.

That's my thinking too. If it was something the maintainer did for whatever reason, I'm hoping that instead of eliminating it completely it could at least be passed on to another owner.

And if it's LJ behind it, I want a damn good explanation because they have it in the comments of the new policies clarifications that text is fine, no matter how porny.

It wasn't that active lately, but it wasn't completely dead, either.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it had something posted to it just yesterday, so it wasn't dead.

I don't remember who maintained it personally. I'm kind of hoping someone else does though, and better still if the owner can be reached so we'll know what happened.

I posted on it less then 24 hours ago and I'm also sure it was active even few hours ago.

Yeah, I've had an IJ placeholder since August, and have been getting myself set up there the past few days, but IF this is LJ's doing when the community wasn't even violating any of their TOS, I'll be getting that account prepped double time. This is ridiculous.

Well maybe it wasn't "flagged" correctly and thus deleted. Dunno. I can't even remember who was the maintainer there.

Y'all are free to post fanfiction here though, just make sure to flag it properly? I don't know where the other two maintainers are for this comm but I'm still here so I'll help out where I can.

Does it say it has been 'deleted'?...because if it says that then it means a maintainer did it.

If it says 'suspended' then LJ did it.

Or can you even tell?

It says it's deleted, so I suspect the maintainer deleted it rather than LJ. I'm thinking it's probably an accidental thing (having done it several times myself) - intending to delete a different community and accidentally clicking the wrong one on the drop down list. I accidentally deleted my own journal this way, once. *headdesk*

I don't think you can tell any more, though the fact that the user name is bolded out rather than struck through leads me to think it's a banning, not a deletion. I have a deleted account on my friendslist and that's still listed with the username struck through. Needless to say, I'm a bit perturbed.

Well, that's a relief. Clearly, LJ's method of marking deleted/banned journals just makes no sense, then. Oh well. ^^
