- was the first runner up in miss alaska
- has more exectutive experience than mccain, obama and biden combined
- has 80% approval ratings among her constituents
- defeated two entrenched former governors in the primary and general elections
- asked her state senators to rain in *against* earmarks
- was on cover of "vogue"
- went on commercial fishing boat
- has five children
- well, anti abortion (see above)

having no vagina myself, i tend to let to settle abortion dispute among those who do.
other than that, i cannot see what not to vote for.

That was the main sentence I learned with my °learn to speak Italian° CD.  It means °where is Veneto St.?°  Well, today I found out where Via Veneto is, along with a lot of the rest of Rome.  We pretty much walked the better part of the city.  The °we° is a couple of other ladies from my group who also arrived early.  We made a good trio, tackling the city with gusto and grace.  We saw (among other places) several gorgeous churches, the Spanish steps, the Trevi fountain, the Villa Borghese museum, Piazza di Poppolo, and various and sundry ruins.  We also had the requisite gelato, lots of wine, and a beer.  And we did some shopping to boot!  WHEW!!

The rest of the group arrived tonight, so now the official tour begins.  Tomorrow it is the Vatican and our °performance° at St. Peter's.  Apparently there is going to be a large group of cardinals there tomorrow for our service, so it should be a pretty big deal. Keep your fingers crossed.
