There's something sad about fighting over who has the right Messiah... especially when (I believe) neither party does.

It's his mom!

:)

See, she's not a Lubavitcher ... merely coming to her son's defense. Look there behind her ... he has the very classic, "nanner, nanner, told you so" look on his face.

I always take one. They're fanatics, they aren't going to be easily discouraged, and each one I take is one less that might reach someone vulnerable.

hmmm.

Two Religous groups having a theological dispute

right outside a den of inquity ( to them )

one wonders if perhaps G-d was in a jovial mood this day.
This REALLY seems like the starts of a bad joke.

I once encountered an evangelical Christian and a revolutionary Communist preaching their doctrine on the same street corner in Harvard Square. I wanted them to stand closer together and try to convert each other, but I couldn't convince them to play along.

These happen to be the only Jewish groups who talk to(fellowship with)me. Being suicidal, I would call why I go to them: "Suicide Judaism"(as Jews whose "only" contact with Judaism is frequenting delicatessans(Seinfeld) I would call: "Gastronomic Judaism", or Jews who identify through "Shoah"-type stuff "Holocaust Judaism". My mom is a "kaddish/yahrtzeit Jew"). Between being dead or or going to them, I would rather be alive. When you got to go, you got to go.
