The Character: Yamanaka Ino
What Series is the Character from? Naruto
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: Blond hair, some might say voluptuous body, nice stomach and legs, wears a lot of purple usually. Personality wise, though, she isn't as hard-edged as most people think she is and is acutally quite soft toward her friends. She's willing to do whatever she can to cheer and aid in the development of of friends as well, however, she can be very vain sometimes. She is also sort of bossy, but usually she does the right thing. Men fear her.
Background of Character: When she was younger she felt the constant need to worry about her appearance and diet, despite the fact that it was unnecessary. Ino was one of the more exceptional students in her academy. Her most repetitive rival and best friend is Haruno Sakura.
What Job Are You Applying For (manager/editor/writer/intern/lackey): This might change, but for now I'm going for writer. May change it to intern depending on who else applys.
Sample Post:

Bright blue eyes opened toward the window just outside of her tiny little cubicle. Fresh air, oh how she desired it. Suppressing a yawn as much as possible, Ino cursed her constant habits up staying up late in order to finish stories that she knew would never see even the backside of the front page. Sure she worked hard and put in the extra effort for whatever she did, but lately her work seemed to always come up lacking. Yesterday at lunch her boss even told her she wasn't looking or doing too well. Am I losing my touch? More times than once, the blonde found herself asking that question.

Turning her head slightly toward the cubicle behind her, she could see her rival, Haruno Sakura, typing away furiously on her keyboard. Ino couldn't help but smile nostalgically. She knew it was only a matter of time before Sakura got her first front page story, while Ino simply faded into the abyss, alone.

Ino used to think of herself as her own one and only. Nothing could stop her. Everyone knew she was a force to be reckoned with. However, now, that just wasn't the case.

Sighing tiredly, Ino turned back to her work, forgetting about her friend just a few feet from her and about the beautiful day that had just begun. "Maybe I do need to get some sleep..."

The Character: C.C.
What Series is the Character from? Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: C.C. sports long, waist-length, florescent green hair. She usually wears either white, plain outfits, or extremely out-of-place skirts matched with brightly colored tops. Despite her fashion sense, though, she is an extremely apathetic young woman, and she always is at her toughest. She softens to nobody, trusts nobody, and will never be a nobody, seeing who she is.

She also has a strong affinity and love for pizza and Pizza Hut deals.
Background of Character: C.C. has refused to disclose to anyone about her past. It is very vague and unclear, but from what most people can tell she may be trying to run away from someone. Nobody knows much more than that, though.

Sample Post:
C.C. walked past the maze of cubicles before her, winding around every corner, stepping over every pile of papers that got in her way, skipping over dropped pens and pencils, skillfully avoiding any and all coffee stains, while keeping her eyes straight ahead. It was two past twelve in the afternoon.

She finally fought her way through to the entrance and pulled open the door. Nobody was there, but a familiar, red van was pulling into the driveway. A man in a well known uniform got out and pulled out three boxes, each individually wrapped in their own little blue, cloth cases. The man made his way up the stone stairs and looked at the green-haired girl with a cocked eyebrow.

"Yes it's natural," the girl said finally. She then pulled out her watch and tapped the dial. "By the way? It's 12:03. You were supposed to be here five minutes ago. My pizza is half off now."

The man froze. "Uerr-"

The girl promptly handed him twelve dollars and a quarter- half of the price plus a measly tip. She immediately grabbed the boxes and headed back inside, leaving the dumbfounded man with nothing but a quarter to show for his efforts.

A worker peeked his head out of his cubicle. "Uh, Supervisor C.C.-"

"Be quiet. I'm taking a lunch break."

The Character: Miranda Lott
What Series is the Character from? D.Gray-Man
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: Plain brown, lanky hair, plain brown, tired eyes, a gaunt face underneath which hides possible potential for natural beauty, dark circles under her eyes the size of Minnesota. Her body is in between slim and too-skinny, her legs not long enough to wear a skirt and look good in it, and knees too bony. Has pretty fingers, though, and could’ve been a pianist…maybe. If she weren’t so damn clumsy. Personality-wise, Miranda’s summed up to that shy clumsy girl no-one pays attention to, but not the shy clumsy girl no-one pays attention to until she kills everyone. Miranda’s a pacifist, primarily, so all news of wars going around the offices usually make her waddle to her lousy apartment and cry at the cruelty of the world. She’s too shy to initiate conversation, and if she does, she stumbles into it without really wanting to. She’s awkward, and has a very low self-esteem which aids to the have-no-friends-at-all part of her life.

Background of Character: Age 24, Miranda was born during a rainy day in a country where rainy days were considered bad luck—a bad luck which has followed her around. Her mother passed away a few hours after giving birth to her, and her father never quite forgave her for that. Miranda grew up in a hostile environment, in a tiny town north of Germany. She was friendless during her childhood, due to her clumsiness—which had come to restrict her in almost everything from school to social life. Not unintelligent, but not awfully smart, either, Miranda barely passed school—somehow she messed up every exam, by either breaking her pencil, doodling on it, or forgetting to wake up early for them—and by the time she was a young adult, her father passed away in a flurry of bitterness and regrets, leaving Miranda with debts and loans to pay for. She threw herself in the working world, too fragile, and ended up being fired 100 times from 100 jobs. At 22 she emigrated to the States, settling in a city called Metropolis, where she found a small flat which she shared with a few rats and roaches. One year passed before Miranda found a stable job, and now working at the Weekly Paper, as a photocophy girl, she hopes to preserve this 101st job with as much dignity, and for as long as possible.

By the end of this day, he’ll forget he’s seen me, she thought, observing the man in front of her desk from under her lashes.

They all do. The office was somehow always brimming with life, but Miranda’s corner was always quiet. Sure, many busy journalists stopped by asking for photocopies of this and that, complaining about the quality of the paper, or the smell of dust. Her cubicle was clean, very clean. But the photocopy machines combined made that smell of dust and clogged-up-ness. Not Miranda’s fault. Maybe if I spoke to them a bit more, they’d remember…at least my name, maybe…

“Thanks, girl. You always make them look pretty,” the man says, and leaves with his photocopies done.

Miranda’s heart flutters. It’s only for a moment. By the end of this day, he’ll have forgotten all about me. So what’s the point?

Character Information
The Character: Olette
What Series is the Character from? Kingdom Hearts II
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: one, two
Olette has “unkempt” hair, which she purposely keeps like that, her brown hair sticks out in little spikes at the sides of her head and has two pigtail-type braids hanging in front of her shoulders, except... They're not pigtails, her hair is naturally wavy with the (odd) spikes on the side of her head. Her eyes are a lovely shade of emerald green, not meaning that her eyes are emeralds they are just the shade of them.

She is of average height and build and be like most of the other girls her age, same height and weight. She currently standing at 5' 6.5”

Her usual attire is an orange tank top, not a spaghetti strap one, with a few white four-leaved flowers on it, with a white-trimmed color and white and black-trimmed straps. She also wears tan, loose, khaki, capris. Olette wears white-trimmed orange soccer socks with (large) yellow, white, and black sneakers. With lovely blue colored necklace and bracelets as finishing touches. Or at least, that's what she wears off duty from the newspaper.

Photography or any other job in the newspaper would be perfect for her, with her love of memory making, and wanting to remember every aspect of her life. But that's only one part of her character, the other part involves the typical happy, cheerful, kind, helpful, and smart qualities most girls have. Oh, and she will not take crap from most people, seeing as in her life she used to have to kick her friends asses into gear to get them to do any work at all.

And it is completely and totally obvious how she feels at any given moment, if not by her expression then by the look in her eyes. She also is obsessed with Sea-salt ice cream, really, she is obsessed. Olette has a few extra pounds on her, but that's just because of her sea-salt ice cream obsession.
Background of Character: Well, uhm yeah see above for bits and pieces.
Not much is really known about Olette's past, and she's not in a big hurry to let anybody know much about it either. Though we know a bit about her high school
years. Well if only because she hung out with three guys, and she was the more responsible of the group of four.

Though we do know that she grew up in Twilight Town, among all of the hustle and bustle of the yearly Struggle Fights and the Seven Wonders. She spends her summer hanging out with Roxas, Hayner, and Pence picking fights with Seifer in the sand lot, eating sea-salt ice cream, and watching sunsets from the top of the large Clock Tower.

Olette always got good grades, a smart girl who would also help her friends get the best grades possible (mainly by kicking their asses into gear to get their homework done.)

She spends most of her summer wishing that it wasn't going so fast, and attempting to get to the beach at least one time.

After she finished college she moved from her familiar environment of Twilight Town to Metropolis, where she currently lives in a small, few roomed apartment nothing fancy and nothing extremely pathetic either. She doesn't share her apartment with rats or anything of that sort. She currently is attempting to find the roommate, that doesn't make it so that it seems like she lives with rats.

Sample Post: The snap of the camera shut closed as she took another picture of the mayor handing the key to the city over to somebody,god what was his name? Why don't I remember his name? the thought danced in and out of her head quickly before thoughts of her needing to take more pictures popped into her mind, shoving everything else out of her head.

Camera strap and press pass digging painfully into her neck, as she took another picture of him. Olette quickly tucked a strand of brown hair behind her ear. Green eyes glancing from her partner to the man on the stage.

“Come on girl, can't you take pictures any faster?” her current partner snapped as him, as he scribbled down important pieces of information from the assembly.

“Yes, sir.” Olette chirped, taking pictures snapping them faster than she had before.

The Character: Nara Shikamaru.
What Series is the Character from? Naruto.
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character:
While he doesn't work too hard to keep up his appearance, he's at least fit enough to get by. His black hair is usually done in a pineapple-like up-do, it wouldn't be surprising to see some bags under his eyes, and his movement is usually sluggish, posture slouched, unless it's important enough for him to high-tail.
He's a reasonably nice character -- at least he doesn't try to be mean -- though he tends to tell the truth like it is. If he is annoyed enough, he will let it be known. He is very notorious for his utter laziness, he enjoys cloud-watching, and for everything else he labels "troublesome." Women especially, and usually the shift key.
Background of Character:
Considering his low-profile way of life, he has surprised many with his exceptional IQ. Always getting by life by the skin of his teeth, it was more or less an order from his mother to "get a life," and "move to Metropolis or something." He always meets deadlines at the last minute and will always take advantage of any given extension. Either way, he does hand in high-quality work, although don't be surprised if many of his words go uncapitalized. His work may also be in need of monitoring, because he likes to sneak in Shogi Online time, and that tends to take a higher priority than his work.
What Job Are You Applying For: Writer.
Sample Post:
The truth was that he'd never exactly learned how to work a cell phone. He made calls, he received calls, he received texts, he didn't text except on occasion, and that was all he needed to know.

The fact that his mother had sent him eleven voice mails this past month bothered him-- not because she'd sent him so many (though that did play somewhat of a role in his annoyance), but because there was simply no easy way of accessing it. Password? What password?

As to why his mother had sent him so many, he learned through voice mailing himself (out of boredom and curiosity) through another phone. What he got was his voice not muttering his name, but rather, "Leave me alone," and there his question was answered. He could already predict his mother nagging him, "Change your voice mail!", "I will not leave you alone!" And so forth, and so on.

He handed the phone back to his colleague and sighed a predictable, "Troublesome," and resumed staring at his empty computer screen, only decorated with the desktop picture of clouds.

The Character: Rabi (man I really need to pick how I want to spell this XD)
What Series is the Character from? D.Gray-Man
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: Rabi is a tall, slender young man with unnaturally bright red hair. His hair is somewhat messy and long, but he manages to keep most of it out of his face by wearing a green and black headband. He sports an eye-patch on his right eye, but he has refused to tell anyone why that is so. He rarely leaves his small apartment without his raggedy, yellowed-with-age scarf around his neck.

In terms of personality, he is a loud, outgoing, and friendly person. He loves to make new friends, despite the fact that his current teacher/mentor, the Bookman, insists that he keeps a sense of neutrality in his life. He also has, like any average male, a liking for visually-pleasing women. He has stated to his friends many-a-time that he "is interested in women twelve to forty~". He's just your regular- and ah, peculiar redhead.
Background of Character: When Ravi was young, he was orphaned. He never knew his parents, but their existence has never bothered him. He was raised like a... very close student by an old man called 'the Bookman.' The Bookman taught, and still teaches, Ravi about the unwritten history of the world. During whatever vacations Ravi may have, they always go traveling together to some obscure, humanity-forsaken ruins in some far off country. Because of this, Ravi has often found himself writing articles for the Metropolitan News about more worldly events- or maybe just the occasional book review. If one has ever entered his apartment, they'd see the stacks of books lying around on the ground. They're all dog-eared, too.

"Ravi, you should probably get to work," said a co-worker in the next door cubicle.

"Oi, hold on a sec," the redhead said while staring intently at the computer screen. No, he wasn't typing a story, or editing a fellow worker's article. No, he was engaging in an intense game of... Typer Shark.

"RACQUET," he said aloud as he typed in the keys. "BLOODY. TYRANNY. LEMON."

"Ravi, what the hell are you doin'?" his co-worker asked.

"Wait wait! I'm almost at the bottom!" he paused to tug at his scarf, then he continued to type. "Oh shi- crud! The black shark ate through the cord! What do I do now?"

"I think you get back to work."

"You know what, dude, you're a total stickle-" he froze when he realized that the voice who just spoke to him didn't belong to the cubicle next door's resident. It belonged to...

"Uh, Head Supervisor C.C.!" he exclaimed, sweating. He plastered on a nervous smile and gave a mock salute. "How can I... ah, help you?"

"Get back to work. Or do I have to use force?" She was known for her blazing punches to the nose.

Ravi released his salute and laughed with embarrassment. "Yeah, yeah, I'll get right on it, Supervisor." He turned back to the computer screen and minimized the game. Jeez, did these people need to lighten up. 'Maybe I should plan a party or somethin.'

The Character: Yuu Kanda
What Series is the Character from? D.Gray-Man
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: Kanda is thin and lanky, and is stronger than he looks. He has long black hair he normally wears back in a ponytail (and won't cut, even though he's been told time and time again he'd get mistaken for a girl way less often if he had short hair) and blue eyes. He'd be quite good-looking if he would do anything besides glare and scowl at people all the time, but he doesn't. His posture is even more intimidating than his facial expressions; he always stands very straight and walks very fast, the better not to have to stop and talk to anyone. And though you'll probably never see it, he has a tattoo in Sanskrit on the left side of his chest; it has to do with his Buddhist religion.
If there's one thing Kanda has no patience with (well, all right, there are a lot of things he has no patience with) it's dealing with people. He's cold, antisocial, and outright rude a lot of the tine; if he can avoid anyone wasting his time, it's been a good day. His hobbies are mostly solitary: meditation and iaido. He's not much of an intellectual, either, preferring physical pursuits to mental ones. He's not stupid, per se (he's quite observant, actually), but he's not a mental genius by a long shot.

Kanda goes almost exclusively by his last name, that being the norm in the culture he grew up in. He tends to get irate when people call him by his first name (Which, of course, drives some people to do it more often).
Background of Character:Kanda mostly keeps quiet about his background; most of his family is deceased, and he's totally estranged from the ones who are still alive. He left home after high school and never looked back, working his way through college (which is rather difficult when you hate people and tend to get fired for being nasty) and settling in Metropolis. Kanda studied photography partly because he (oddly enough) has quite a sense of the aesthetic and partly because it's a quiet, solitary pursuit-- unlike, say, reporting. He doesn't have to talk to people to get their stories; the photograph speaks for itself.

Or at least, that's what he thought until he got a job at the Weekly Metropolitan. While he still does as much work as he can on his own (for example, he prefers to develop his pictures at home where no one will bother him), having to work with writers and the rest of the paper staff is driving him insane. Still, it's money, and he can grit his teeth and deal with his co-workers to make a living.

Sample Post: The people next door had been blaring their music all night, and no amount of pounding on the wall (or their door, which they didn't bother answering anymore when they knew it was going to be Kanda snarling at them to keep it down, he was trying to work) and yelling would get them to turn it down even a little bit. He could have put his sword through the wall (it probably would have gotten their attention, and fast), but that would have damaged the sword. In the end, it had been a tough decision: stay home and get a headache, or go into the office and get a headache.

At the time the office had seemed a better idea (at least the noise there wasn't so loud it shook the walls), but he was starting to wonder if it wouldn't have been better to take his chances with the loud music. Every second he wasn't in the darkroom he had to deal with people, because apparently his being in the office when he didn't absolutely need to be was a miracle of science and needed to be announced to everyone.

"Go away," he snapped at someone attempting to say hello to him for the fortieth time, and slammed the darkroom door shut behind him. He didn't have any more film to develop, but evidently this was the only place he could find any peace and quiet.

Physical Appearance & Personality of Character:
Allen is you’re ordinary guy with a sorta-ordinary lifestyle. Bit on the short side, it’s earned him the name “Beansprout” amongst the upperclass. Pale sking and short, silver hair that comes to his shoulders, he is usually seen smiling and running errands for others.

He always wears gloves and long sleeves no matter what the weather is. That is because of his left arm being horribly deformed from a birth defect. It functions like any other arm and looks like one too on the outside; the only difference is that the hand iss slightly bigger and the arm itself is longer and has more muscle than the other. He hides this because of past incidents and goes to almost extreme measure just to make sure no one finds out.

Allen is you’re everyday nice-guy. He can take a good amount of shit and stress and make it productive. He is useful under pressure and can still keep up a smile while everyone else turn into bloodsucking vampires (not literary of course >>). Allen can be stubborn at times, though, when fighting for a belief of his or for any of his friends which he holds dear to him. When pushed enough, he can have a horrible tounge and easily bite your head off.

Allen has a quick metabolism, where he can eat enough to feed 4 armies, 4 times a day (don’t forget snacks~), and still keep his girly figure. He enjoys playing poker and enjoys even more cheating you out of your money while pretending he was innocent the whole time.

He has only one tattoo over his left eye; a star pentacle over his eye, its tail goes down over his eye and touches his chin. He doesn’t speak of where he got it from and when asked, he replies, “I was drunk.”

Background of Character:
Allen was abandoned as an infant, due to his deformaty. Raised in an orphanage for a good 5 years, he was constantly picked on by the other kids and spat upon by the adults. Although they obviously viewd him as a curse upon their home, they had no choice but to keep him, for throwing him out would only give them scorn.

One day, while reading a book all on his lone, Allen was rudely greeted by the headmaster with a gun to his head. He didn’t understand it then, but later he learned that the Headmaster’s husband had been killed in a car wreck and so, he being the “curse of Mulberry Orphanage” was put to blame. As she stood there sobbing and so obviously drunk with grief, Allen thought to himself “am I to die?” before he was saved.

Everything after was a blur, but he came to know his savour as an man named Mana Walker. Adopting him soon after, Allen learned to love Mana as his own father for many, many years to come.

It was on his day of Graduation from high school did Mana’s life end ever so tragically. The classic car accident; he was walking at the wrong place at the wrong time, makinghis way to the school to see his son graduate top his class. He died upon impact, a painless death.

Allen didn’t really know who to blame. He was taught to give the benefit of the doubt, which meant he had no right to blame the driver (he had fallen asleep at the wheel from too many working nights) and he was also told that there was no point in blaming himself. Although his childhood name was “curse” Mana told him to never label himself that, but even now Allen must wonder if Mana was right this time…

Allen is a freshman going into sophmore at the community college. He works at a newspaper company as an intern so he can keep up his tuition.

The coffee pot gurgled and rumbled quietly as Allen sat at the table, a book in hands. His eyes silently scanned the pages slowly, never one to be a fast reader. It wasn’t because he couldn’t read quickly, but because he found no need to rush so much. He liked to enjoy his books when he could, when he wasn’t studying for school.

Gloved fingers played with the tip of the page, dog-earing it once then pressing it out. The coffee pot dinged and he put the book down, remembering his page for later. Getting up, he started to perpare cups for all those who asked for some. In his mind he went over the list of things he needed to do once he got off. He needed to get some milk and bread, that was for sure…

Lost in thought, he didn’t see the man before him as he ran into him, the coffee spilling everywhere.

Just another day at the office.

What Series is the Character from? Naruto.
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character:
Many would say that Sasuke has an appearance that is well above average. Perhaps because he is a little uptight about his place in the world, he has kept himself in fit condition. His hair and eyes are black, skin is pale, and rarely does he genuinely smile, though he does have a smirk that makes women swoon. In short, women would love to date him, and men want to be him. He hates it.
He's an otherwise arrogant guy with a competitive streak that runs a mile wide. His aspiration in the work world is to be better than everyone else. He especially feels antipathy towards his older brother, Itachi, and because of this he seems to have a case of tunnel vision in that he fails to recognize many other aspects of the world. Outwardly he acts cool, calm, and collected, compassionate within reason, and overall apathetic when it comes to things that don't concern him.
He carries with him a pack of catnip at all times.
Background of Character:
Sasuke has always grown up in the shadow of Itachi, though he didn't mind for the most part. He even looked up to him and wanted to be like him for some time; however, he changed his mind about him when he went and (supposedly, as there isn't anItachiinthisrplalala) killed his nuclear and extended family, and then got away with it. Now he's more or less out to prove himself to him, and to do that he plans to be a well-known photographer of a top magazine publishing company in Metropolis. To him, this current job is for the sake of experience and a step closer to his goal, as well as a chance to access any news of a crime that his brother may commit, and do so in-depth.

Sample Post:
The first thing posted on his desk each morning was a sticky note requesting coffee from several colleagues of his. Usually it was yellow, though other times it was pink, and occasionally he would get a green one with hearts penned on it. The ink was almost always in black or blue.

That was when he stuck the note on the desk behind him, and then that colleague made the assumption that he was to get the coffee for everyone; however, Sasuke always made his own coffee, even on mornings when there would be a fresh mug waiting for him beside the sticky note, undoubtedly given to him by the woman over there, or the one next to him.

He gave that away as well.

To be a photographer, one had to be smooth and have an eye for what was correct and what was incorrect. One had to realize the sensitivities of others, yet remain insensitive enough to get the job done efficiently, and then take advantage of every open opportunity and play the cards right, and at the right angle. That was his challenge with coffee every morning, and then he would slide open a drawer to expose files with several photographs that displayed this prowess.

He only told this to one person, and the reply he got was, "Dude, Sasuke, it's photography. Lighten up."

It was then when he temporarily blinded that colleague with the flash of a camera, and calmly he informed him, "It'll be the death of somebody."

What Series is the Character from? Naruto
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character:
Naruto is a healthy, young man with short blonde hair and natural, tan skin. Eyes a bright, exuberant blue, he has three whisker-like markings on each cheek, so that whenever he grins they give him a great vulpine look.

Naruto is one of those people who will remain loyal to you no matter what is thrown at him. If he believes in you, then it’ll take Heaven and Hell combined and then some to make him think otherwise. Happy and hyper are the usual words used to describe him, but that’s only scratching the surface. Hardheaded and somewhat ignorant on topics, he tries not to delve too much into details, but just see things, as they are right there.

He’s the kind of guy, that when you meet him you either love him or hate him, but in the end, people usually love him. He has a sort of “friendship power” over almost any person he meets.

Because of his rough past, Naruto will never fully judge someone unless he has gotten to know them. After reading a passage in a book (’Ignorance should not be condemned, but consoled’), he intends to ‘console’ all those ignorant of his true potential.

Background of Character:
Naruto grew up in an orphanage all his life, never knowing who his parents were, and at the time never caring, just labeling them as “the bastards that put me here”. A troublemaker and an annoyance to all adults, Naruto would constantly ‘escape’ and run amuck the city, nabbing fruits and things from the marketplace. Of course, he’d be caught soon after, but after awhile he grew better at this and became more discreet about it.

The other kids would often call him ‘fox’ or ‘kitsune-kun’ because of his fox-like characteristics and Naruto being Naruto took this to heart and since then has always had a secret affinity for foxes.

During elementary school and middle school Naruto excelled in Math, while in other classes, not so lucky. It was during High school that he learned about a photography class and though, “why the Hell not?” and signed up. It was only a month into the class did he (and his teacher, Umino Iruka) learn that he had a knack for this thing. Soon bonding with Iruka they became like father and son.

On Graduation day (Naruto earning a scholarship to an Art college), Iruka gave him a camera, telling him to take good care of it and use it well. Naruto, being the badgood boy that he was told him to chill, hugged him and left.

A freshman in college, Naruto works at the local newspaper company as a photographer. He is usually seen more trying to ask Sakura out on a date.

Bored out of his mind, Naruto lay, body spread out, on the fugly-patterned couch that he was sure went out of style the day it came out of the factory. Arms held above him, he held his camera, fiddling with it in a lethargic fashion, eyes half-lidded.

Life had been so lame lately! Nothing new had happened, Sakura still dumping him for that Uchiha-prick, C.C. PMSing again, and when the promise of a good story came up, that stupid Kanda-prissy boy beat him to the punch. Even though he got there first, the guy just had to walk by with that long, girly hair of his and BAM! He got it! It was the same with the teme! Both were heartthrobs for any girl, and if you didn’t like them you were a lesbian.

Huffing, he fiddled some more while thinking about what to eat tonight—ramen, of course. It was his favourite and the only thing he could afford at the moment. When suddenly a bright flash and a ‘click’ as the camera went off right when Naruto was looking at the lens.

Recoiling, he dropped the camera, blinded by the light. “Sh-Shit! All Hell…” He cursed to no one, seeing as how he was the only one in the break room. Rubbing his eyes to get rid of the spots, he could only growl.

Just another day at the office.

The Character: Ishida Uryuu
What Series is the Character from? Bleach
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: At 5'7" (and 3/8ths, thank you, Wikipedia), Ishida Uryuu is what one would call the stock dark, mysterious, and occasionally handsome character. He has black hair that appears navy blue in strange lighting and greyish-blue eyes. He's 121 pounds with classic mysterious!character pale skin. His bad eyesight requires him to wear silver rimmed glasses.

As far as personality goes, Ishida is a sort of shy, calm personality. To strangers, he comes across as sort of a jerk. To girls with broken teddy bears, he comes across as a savior. With a sewing needle.

He has a thing for attempting to impress people and has been known to tell a few lies to look 'cool'.
Background of Character: Ishida had a pretty low key, typical childhood. He grew up in a higher-end-of-the-middle-class family with his mother and father, the latter of which he hates indefinitely. He grew up close to his grandfather and was a member of an archery club, Quincy.

Also a fan of sewing, Ishida juggled most of his high school years between the two interests. At 15, tragedy struck (as it always does) and Ishida's grandfather was mauled over by a large truck delivering items for the school's kendo team, thus inspiring his hatred for all things swordsman-like.

After high school, Ishida moved to Metropolis and found a roommate, (with the permission of one Ropponmatsu III!) Sasuke. Yeah.
What Job Are You Applying For: Writer (fashion column, anyone?).
Sample Post: There was something about low-end fashion that baffled Ishida Uryuu. That was, perhaps, why he spent the majority of his time sitting in the middle of the park on a bench, newspaper in hand (one couldn't properly spy without it), and eyes peering over the top, mentally scanning and recording each person's outfit.

Hideous. All of them. Poor didn't mean one had to dress shabby.

Still, today, in particular, had been quite the waste and Ishida was just preparing to get up and head home when his cellphone vibrated. Quickly retrieving it and glancing down at the "new text message!" screen, he flipped it open and read the brief message.

'We need garlic and tin foil hats.'

Sad how that one little line summed up so much of his life. Closing the phone, Ishida realized that now was not the time to return home.

No, home would have to wait.

The Character: Rhode Camelot.

What Series is the Character from? D.Gray-Man.

Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: At first glance, Rhode will look like your average semi-grown up scrawny school girl. But really, she isn't. Even though she likes dressing up in puffy skirts and frilly blouses that make her look like an eight-year-old (albeit with the slightest of tendency to go for the eyeliner and the occasional lipstick, not to mention the hair gel that make her look like an electrocuted hedgehog), she actually is a drop-out of her school a few years ago and has been taking on a series of low-pay low-maintenance jobs, working for the Weekly Met being one of her latest finds.

She isn't too big on working for the sake of the pay, and there's gotta be something that interests her in the job for her to even think about applying for it. Even though with the state of her rat-infested one-bedroom-is-all flat and hobo-ridden neighbourhood, she maybe just should. Even a little bit.

Background of Character: She (at least, says) she was born as a daughter of some sort of rich guru of some religious cult that believes in their inherent spiritual ability to bring back their loved ones from the dead, but then she got sick of all that nonsense and ran away from the preppy-pretty-rich all-girls' school and their high-collar and long nun-gowns.
Or that's what she claims.

What Job Are You Applying For (manager/editor/photographer/writer/intern/lackey): Coffee-and-delivery girl. Running around and providing caffeinated (or non-caffeinated) beverages to the thirsty overworked masses as well as any other things needed personal delivery (such as more work).

She breathed in the heady murky fumes of the coffee until she could almost feel her ribs crack and reached over to the precariously-balanced stack of ceramic mugs all washed and hanging nicely in their little neat labelled pegs. Rhode wasn't quite sure whether she got everything right since she only just started this yesterday and there were so many people --seriously, how many people did it take to make one newspaper?-- so it wasn't an easy thing, writing down all the people's names and what they liked and how they liked it.

Some people didn't really answer at all, like that whasshisname guy that she couldn't quite remember, but she had her own set of rules for them too.

That was, give them barely-there watered down coffee until they finally snapped and demanded that she 'make it right'. Most people, even the most anti-social, had to say more than one word to her. Eventually.

The Character: Hirako Shinji
What Series is the Character from? Bleach
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: Hirako's an interesting guy, in looks and mannerisms. He's not too casual, but not particularly formal, either; he's the kind of guy you'd introduce to your mom, but not the kind of guy you'd introduce to your attractive sister. He has a tendency to wear some snazzy-looking clothes; blazers, jackets, flat-caps, bowlers, pretty much anything with any hint of style(or complete lack thereof). Below the clothes, there's a pretty tall, pretty skinny, pretty shark-toothed teen with a blond bowl-cut not even Moe Howard could forgive.

Tell him a joke, he'll tell you a better one; tell him a secret, the world may or may not end up knowing; tell him Hiyori's nearby, he'll run like hell. He's a trickster, a joker, but a damn solid friend. Regardless of his silly antics, Hirako is perfectly capable of calming down and providing support to those he deems worthy of it, and even some he doesn't.
Background of Character: Ask a dozen different people, you'll get a dozen different stories. The only constant between all of them is his involvement in an organization of some sort, the "Vaizored". Be it a school club, a street gang, or a church youth-group, Shinji doesn't hide his involvement in it. The core of most of his stories remains that he had a normal childhood, a normal school experience, and recently moved out of his normal parents' normal home. All simple, cut-'n-dry, y'know?

The Character: Deidara.

What Series is the Character from? Naruto.

Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: Long, golden-brown blond hair that he usually tie back up into a high sort of ponytail, though a good chunk of it always manages to fall down to cover at least half his face. Apart from the rather effeminate hair, he is of completely normal, average sort of build and height, though the long scars standing out in both of his palms going across horizontally may draw some inquisitive glances his way.
He is usually seen by others as rather quiet and distant, anti-social even. They don't believe he'd ever spoken one single word to any of them, if any of them remembered. He is usually holed up in his cubicle-slash-office-desk, typing away on his computer and sending various emails, his main form of communication to all.

Background of Character: He has a speech impediment whose fear of it has literally plagued him since his early childhood (ever since a girl in his class pointed out the fact to everybody else, in his first year of the Great Education System), forcing him to seek a job that doesn't involve much verbal communication as is humanely possible. His reluctance to speak and interact directly with other human beings meant that he was usually kicked straight out of the interviews (at least, the ones that he bothered to go) and forced him to seek jobs that were more or less solitary and unpleasant. As it is, he usually carries a tiny memobook and a pen handy wherever he goes, and prefers to communicate by email rather than phone or direct person-to-person.
His greatest, ultimatest secret goal: to get enough money to fix the speech impediment. And a long long holiday out in Fiji.

Murky blue eyes blinked open blearily as Deidara lifted up his head, uncomfortably squished in the dusty train seat among the morning commuters; a grandma clutching basket full of home-grown vegetables on one side, a rather large –an understatement; he was at least three times the size of the blond male—man that reminded Deidara oh-so-vaguely of some sumo wrestler he had seen in TV the other day.

The ringing came from the girl sitting on the other side of the sumo wrestler guy, and she looked almost apologetic as she fumbled around her pocket for the annoying device. Deidara felt more than saw the man frown as the girl jabbed her elbow into his side.

He himself didn't have any cellphones to bother him, those good-for-nothing, annoying machines. The worst thing the modern-day technology have ever come up with ever since vending machines.

Reaching up to rub his eye tiredly –the grandmother shot him a disapproving look at his floopy hair, which was even more messier than usual—the blond wriggled out from between the two, then many other people crowding the compartments, to get out of the train. Mornings truly sucked.

<b>Physical Appearance & Personality of Character:</b> Colette has waist-length blond hair that curls slightly inward at the ends, blue eyes, and a figure like a washboard. She wears mainly white and blue, with few accessories (the exception is the necklace given to her by a close friend). Personality wise, Colette is kind, sweet, and always willing to put others ahead of her. She'd pretty much be the embodiment of an angel...if she wasn't so clumsy all the time. Passerby beware-if she's carrying something hot you probably don't want to be nearby. Don't mistake her for a pushover however-she's perfectly capable of standing up for something she believes in.
<b>Background of Character:</b> As the granddaughter of the village elder in a small rural town, Colette was placed on a pedestal in her childhood. Despite having two close friends, she often felt left out, as she was not allowed to participate in "fun" activities with the other children, as they were considered potentially dangerous. Instead, she was taught the customs and legends of the village to prepare her to one day succeed her grandmother. When she was given the opportunity to go to a college in Metropolis, Colette seized the chance, and after some pleading, was allowed to come to the city and try to experience life as a normal girl.

Colette hummed contentedly to herself as she organized the papers, bright and cheerful as always. Satisfied with her work, she picked up the stack of papers and began walking over to the photocopier room, beaming all the way. She was so happy, and so lucky to be able to work here--

The Character: Namine
What Series is the Character from? Kingdom Hearts (II and Chain of Memories)
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: Namine is a quiet, mild-mannered, fragile-looking young girl with wheat-blonde hair and dark blue eyes. She usually dresses in white and likes to wear sandals; the only thing that can dissuade her from wearing her usual outfit is WINTER, that horrid season that destroys her fashion sense and... err, moving on. (@_@) Despite her appearance, don't mistake her for a meek girl. Although Namine might not speak up much, she has a strong sense of right and wrong and a big, caring heart. She's very artistic and is especially known for her charming drawings...
Background of Character: Namine is fresh out of high school and looking for a job to last her the summer before she leaves Metropolis to go to art school. Seeing that there were positions open at the weekly paper, she somehow managed to get hired to be the paper photographer (!). Namine considers this job to be a good way to expand on her photography skills (and maaaybe get a little recognition before she heads off to the Institute of Art...). She lives alone in a studio apartment with her few belongings and many sketchbooks, and except for her cellphone is rather out of touch with the world. She's a bit shy as to the rest of the staff, although she does recognize Olette from school. Whenever she's not working, she's drawing, and also does the paper's editorial cartoons (?).

Sample Post: Papers were threatening to cause a collapse in her cubicle. Again.

Namine stared at her desk with a bleak sigh and wondered how it all piled up so quickly. At the beginning of the week this desk had been clean... but now it was being all but crushed under the oppressive weight of newspaper copies, envelopes filled with photos, half-filled albums, half-destroyed sketchbooks, a new portfolio, loose papers, her cameras, rolls of already-developed negatives she was keeping for filing purposes, and canisters of fresh film.

In fact, the fact that her tripod was being used as the desk's fifth leg was probably the only reason it hadn't collapsed yet.

But she had work to do and even though her pictures were good enough to keep her from getting fired, this awful clutter might very well earn her a scolding from the head supervisor or even a pay cut.

And the rent was due soon.

Stifling a moan, Namine walked to the ruin of her desk.

She had to get this cleaned up somehow.

The Character: Dark Mousy

Physical Appearance & Personality of Character:
Dark is every woman’s wet dream. The ideal lover and a romantic, Dark is suave and cool. The very epitome of “tall, dark, and handsome”. Cocky and a social butterfly, he can swoon almost any woman (or man) he meets with just a smile. He knows just what to say to women and can be a date guru at times. Quirky, he’s an attention whore, adoring the spotlight. He prefers nighttime because of its mysteriousness and never wears light clothing, just the opposite.

On the flip side, Dark can also be immature at times and it can be hard to take him seriously. Sarcastic and selfish, he has an abnormally large ego. On dates, he’s hesitant on going into any serious relationships, instead he cuts ties after the first date. When he wants to he can be totally serious, mindful of other’s feelings, because not even Dark is that cruel. He has good tastes and a sharp eye for details.

Dark has a bad habit of teasing (mainly) the woman in the office, mostly the blondes and brunettes, finding them his ‘cup of tea’.

Background of Character:
Dark grew up on the streets of downtown Metropolis. He stole to survive and soon after he had enough to survive he pick pocketed from pedestrians and soon, even went as far as stealing from homes. Dark became an A-class thief during his high school years, using what he stole to sell at pawn shops and the black market. He claims he gets this money from the stock market and leaves it at that.

Working as a reporter gives both the office and Dark benefits. Not only can dig up any story (But just winning over any of the ladies), but he also gets free dates in the process. Dark has graduated college and is perfectly content with ‘playing the stock market’.

Tucking the notepad inside his jacket, Dark smiled charmingly at the young police woman. She looked at least in her twenties, probably new on the job from the way she was looking so stern and serious about everything. Of course, that would change once he, Dark Mousy got through to her.

Taking her hand, he laid a kiss atop her hand, eyes slowly locking with her’s. “My dear, won’t you please…” Another kiss. “Let this unworthy man…gaze upon you awhile more?” Other reporters around him all groaned, knowing he had already won. Mentally, he told them all off smirking inwardly at just how awesome he was at this.

The police woman blushed, abashed at Dark’s suave behavior.

The Character: Kusajishi Yachiru
What Series is the Character from? Bleach
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character:

Yachiru, despite being the size of a toddler, is a lot older than she looks. How old she is exactly is a complete mystery to all, even herself. She stands about two feet tall and weighs no more than a sack of potatoes. Her shiny mop of bubblegum pink hair is shoulder-length and curls outward on the ends. She has brown eyes, rosy-red cheeks, and an almost perpetual smile that belies a dangerous malevolent streak; never fear, for said streak rarely surfaces.

Old-fashioned cuffed shirt, knickers, suspenders, and a lop-sided barret make Yachiru the epitome of cuteness around the office and on the streets. Because of her persistently adorable demeanor, she has earned herself a great reputation as a papergirl -- she could sell a newspaper to a blind man.

Despite her small stature, Yachiru can handle herself well on the streets. She's practiced kendo since she was old enough to wield a sword, and is well-versed in most modern forms of martial arts and self-defense.

Background of Character:

Kusajishi Yachiru's real name and origin are unknown. Discovered in the gutter when she was just an infant by a mysterious man named Zaraki Kenpachi, Yachiru spent most of her childhood watching and admiring her surrogate father. The man taught her how to hold a sword as well as how to use it, though unlike her surrogate daddy, Yachiru rarely uses one unless she absolutely has to. In most tough situations, due to her tiny size and speed, she can easily wriggle herself free and escape unscathed.

Recently, she has taken on the task of papergirl for the city's local newspaper. She spends the majority of her paychecks on candy and frilly dresses, both of which she brandishes like trophies around the office while not on the clock. She enjoys spreading her joy around the office like an infectious disease, and does not understand boundaries or personal space.

Another day at the office, another morning of vigorously selling and delivering newspapers out of the way.

Kusajishi Yachiru, despite being off duty, loved spending time at the office. To the chagrin of most of more hardened, stressed-out employees, Yachiru delighted in spreading her infectious cheer as well as her seemingly endless supply of treats. And, much to their chagrin as well, she had a cute petname for just about everybody.

Placing a strawberry-flavored candy on the Boss's desk, she nodded and smiled in accomplished glee. Mr. Bossy-boss was always so grumpy. Perhaps he needed a treat to help raise his blood sugar.

Bouncing off towards her next victim, Yachiru sang along to a song only she knew the words to. The newspaper business seemed to stress out a lot of people! They deserved a pick-me-up every now and then, and, perhaps sometime in her self-appointed task to spread sugar, she might even find someone who wanted to play.

All in a day's work, really.

The Character: Riku
What Series is the Character from? Kingdom Hearts series
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: Looking like he just stepped out of the pages of a fashion magazine, Riku is someone people notice when he enters the room. Tall with an athletic body, bright green eyes, and long silver hair, he’s the kind of person women swoon over as he walks by in his jeans, black shirt, and jacket (or just about anything else for that matter).

He’s received many compliments over his looks and cool and collected personality and he takes them in stride, thanking the person and smiling gently. Known to few people, while he wouldn’t give up his looks, he considers it a curse at times and wonders if people like him for who he is or only for what he looks like.

As a result, he can be wary about who he opens up to. To strangers, he can be aloof, almost cold. While willing to lend a hand and approachable enough, he keeps his distance and carefully judges the person.

However, if he decides the person is trustworthy enough, Riku will open up, letting his quick-wit and snarky sense of humor sneak in and caring personality shine through. To those who become his closest friends, he’ll defend them mercilessly and do anything for them.

But no matter how close someone becomes to him, there are still some obvious aspects seen by all. Riku is a hard worker, willing to put in extra hours to make sure something is done correctly. Unfortunately, this can result in arguments between him and his peers as he is prone to taking unconventional (though very viable) routes to accomplish something and is very stubborn. But he’ll allow himself to be humbled (he’s seen the damage excessive pride can do) and come to an agreement on things. As much as he likes being right, he knows he can’t be correct all the time and is willing to learn from his mistakes.

But as good and caring a person as he is, to anyone who wrongs him or his friends, they better be prepared to face his wrath. Deeply protective of his friends, Riku will not stand for anyone hurting them in anyway and will fight for them (physically or verbally). To anyone who betrays him, he’ll have no qualms against cutting them out of his life.

Background of Character: Hailing from a wealthy family, Riku lived a privileged life growing up, though also one with a lot of pressure. A single child, it was expected for him to be the best at everything. As a result, it gave him a large range of experiences (swimming, boating, and sword-fighting being his favorites) as well as a strong work-ethic. Never wanting to disappoint his family or his friends, he strove to excel at everything he could.

The only thing he ever disappointed his family in was his love of traveling and writing. While he was expected to run the family business (a fishing company), Riku wanted nothing more than to travel across the land, meeting new people, and writing about his experiences. He was almost obsessed with the idea of traveling around the world and upon leaving high school, packed up his bags, kissed his parents goodbye, and left his home.

Ending up in Metropolis, he picked up a position as an intern at the newspaper in hopes of eventually becoming a journalist.

Stepping into the cubicle, soon to be new work environment, soon to be second bedroom (with the frantic environment surrounding him already, he had no doubt there would be many a long all-nighter and then some), Riku set down the small cardboard box of belongings on the small desk.

Desk, computer, office chair, didn’t need much more. He gave a satisfied smile as he reached into the box to remove the first of his belongings. A new package of pens was opened up and placed in an empty mug. A few photographs were taped onto the walls (he would ask about the rules regarding staples and pushpins later). Several spiral notebooks were set on the desktop.

As he began to set up his desk, the feeling someone was watching him began to grow. Straightening up, he looked out to see several female workers looking at him, whispering and giggling to each other. Realizing he had noticed them, they quickly turned away, the sound of furious typing mingling with the rest of the usual office noise.

Giving a bemused smile and a small wave to his co-workers, he turned back to his desk, hoping the attention would not be a regular occurrence.

The Character: Linali Li
What Series is the Character from? D.Gray-Man
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character:

Linali Lee in general is a cheerful girl, wont to a childish innocence she was not free to express while growing up. She can be extremely emotional at times, something that can be seen as a weakness, but it that same emotion that fuels her strength. She is very protective of her friends and older brother, and will do anything and sacrifice everything to help her loved ones in their time of need.

Appearance-wise, Linali loves tall boots, blouses, and super-short skirts. She is very lithe and agile, the summation of her physical strength focused in her legs. When her temper flares, she has no qualms in giving the objet of her frustration a severe kicking.

Rinali makes friends easily but because of her isolated upbringing, generally tends to prefer to stick to small groups of friends and her big brother.

Background of Character:

Linali Lee is eighteen years old and in her first year of college. She came to Metropolis to study modern dance and ballet, and hopes some day to own her own dance studio in the big city.

When she was little, her parents died mysteriously, causing her tremendous grief that consumed her better judgement; she became suicidal. For three years during her young life she was sent to a mental ward, kept under constant and total lockdown. Thanks to modern medicine, she doesn't remember much about her hospitilization save for that there were very few moments of lucidity, and that her time spent there was excrutiatingly lonely.

Fortunately for Linali, she got better. Her first few years as a teenager were spent under constant supervision by professionals, but she was at least allowed some semblance of normal life. She began attending school again and continued with ballet, dancing being something she practiced since she was a toddler and very therapuetic in its own right.

After moving to Metropolis, Linali applied for a job at the local newspaper as a paper-pusher to earn some extra money for school. She lives with her brother, Komui Lee*.

She is of Chinese decent.

It wasn't often Linali Lee was late for work. Even after getting out of class late, it was simply a hop, skip, and a jump to the local newspaper. Taking the bus or any other modern form of transportation ran the risk of being stuck in traffic and, thanks to long legs with the strength to figuratively bend steel, running was not a problem.

Today, however, Linali was pushing it. The clock just struck five o'clock when she burst through the door to the office, pigtails disheveled and sweating. "Made it!" she cheered victoriously, albeit a little prematurely -- she was in the wrong office.

Sheepishly excusing herself, she hurried down the hall, wondering idly where the sudden fit of scatter-brainedness had come from. Luckily for her, no one saw as she slipped into her cubicle, but there were already piles of paperwork needing copied, faxed, and mailed, as well as notes requesting beverages and orders for take-out to be delivered at break.

Sighing heavily, Linali smiled despite it all and shoved her bag under her desk. Another day, another paycheck...

And another day she wondered if she worked with Allen.*

The Character: Kaoru Hitachiin
What Series is the Character from? Ouran High School Host Club
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: The sixteen year old male parts his orange-red hair to his right; his eyes are also a golden-brown shade, almost almond. Their fashion style is mainly the same, Kaoru usually favoring lighter colors to contrast Hikaru. Thin and tall like his brother, their features show how almost impossible it is to tell the identical twins apart. (One way is the fact that Kaoru parts his hair to the left, and Hikaru parts his to the right).

As for personality...it differs. Not too drastically, but it can change up. Paired with his identical twin, he's pretty much matching in personality. Devilish, cunning, the kind you don't want to be around when bored. But alone, he's calm, relatively normal, and kind. He can be a tad bit shy, as well. Even though he's the younger twin, he has more emotion security than his brother. He doesn't get angry as easily, being pretty cool tempered. He's a level nicer than Hikaru, loyal and true to his friends. He may worry easy, mostly over his brother, but he tries to mask it. He's selfless, and would sacrifice himself for his brother, whom he shares a deep and critical bond with. He'll do anything to make his brother and his friends happy, even if that means giving up time with them so they can do something else they enjoy.

Kaoru also sometimes uses fairytales as metaphors, to connect with relationships and such. He enjoys things that aren't dull, liking to have spice in his life, to break monotony. He wears light colors to show his mood, which is usually cheerful. Though, you may not always be able to tell, with Kaoru.
Background of Character: Even though he may be one of the 'rich kids', Kaoru likes doing things the 'common' way. Shortly after finishing high school, he prompted his brother, and the rest of the Hitachiin family, that he was moving to Metropolis to begin college in the Photography field. After using his wits, and undeniable charm, he got to move, departing from his brother, which of course was tragic. One doesn't part twins so easily, though...Kaoru did offer for Hikaru to come join him in being an Editor or something for the newspaper Kaoru was to apply for. He moved to Metropolis, anxious to get a head start. He was always one for Art, the subject being one of his strong suits, as was English. He could be a writer, an editor, or a photographer. Kaoru decided to go in the Photography field merely because pictures held more words than pure white paper.

He enrolled in a University in Metropolis shortly after he moved, getting a place in a studio apartment, which is pretty fancy, for he is a rich kid. Though, he wanted to provide for himself, not wanting to depend so much on his fashion designer mother, and his...'normal' father. So, while in college, he decided to apply for a job. The hands-on kind of thing for journalism was best for him, hands-on being the best way he can learn. Though...surviving a workplace may be hard for a boy who is so used to having maids wait on him, hand and foot.

Can he really juggle schooling and a job so well?

Sample Post: Kaoru smiled, looking around the city as he held his Nikon F65 in hand. His job was hectic, as most, if not all, jobs were. Yet, he toughened it out, smiling and doing what he had to do to contribute to the paper. Pictures. They held...far more words than paper, he always thought. Words on paper could be endless, he knew...yet pictures? They're like actually being there. I should send a couple of these to Hikaru... Another grin and he took a few pictures of passerby, walking around the city and heading toward the park.

Every week, it seemed like something else happened in Metropolis. It was practically all work, no play. But Kaoru didn't mind. He was doing very well in college, and he was doing alright with work. Maybe after a couple more shots I'll go for some coffee. Groaning to himself, he rubbed his eyes, looking around at people walking their dogs, doing all the 'common' things. Nothing interesting for now. Maybe it was just going to be another boring day. ...well...I guess a cup of coffee right now, wouldn't hurt... He had time to spare, before he had to make a run toward the office.

At least...the last time he checked...he had time.

The Character: Roxas

Physical Appearance & Personality of Character:
Physical Appearance;
Roxas is of average height and a slightly athletic build, with blond hair that he usually spikes at the front (because, in all reality, it would look horrible any other way) and blue eyes that he once wished were green (he had a few moments during college). He favors the skater/punk/ska style as he did in high school, though now he's added a few Quicksilver, Ron Jon, O'Neill, Billabong, and we all know where this is going elements to his wardrobe.

Personality
Roxas is by all accounts your friendly neighborhood nice guy. There are times when he could get moody and seem aloof to those around him, but he perks up nicely. While more thoughtful than some of his other friends, he has moments where he doesn't think things all the way through. People easily explain away this flaw as a common character trait of the skater boy persona. He does have a darker side to his personality that very few others see. This side has him rude, obnoxious and overly headstrong. This side also has him disregard the opinions and advice of those closest to him and would do any and everything to get what he wants, even at the price of friendship. HOWEVER, he's only that way when he's extremely agitated, extremely depressed, or any other extreme negative emotion. Point: there's a very good chance you'll never see that side to his personality.

Roxas grew up in a little town called Twilight, where everyone knew each other and things were more or less laid back. Most of his earlier years were spent with three of his closest friends. Whether it was just chillaxin' at their hangout, conversing with the locals, getting into fights with Seifer's Disciplinary Committee, attempting to explain Twilight Town's seemingly unexplainable occurrences, doing homework, or just sitting atop the town's clock tower with a bar of sea salt ice cream watching the sun set, the group took every moment of the day and had fun with it, often capturing it on Polaroids. Upon entering high school, he made a handful of new friends, including Axel (who he would probably consider his best friend), Sora, Naminé, Riku, and Kairi. Throughout high school, things remained more or less the same, with Roxas gaining a bit of unwanted popularity due to his skill in skateboarding and his newly acquired skill with the guitar.

After high school, Roxas moved away from Twilight Town to attend university in southern California. This single act unintentionally distanced him from all of his childhood friends, save Axel, who he somehow managed to keep up with. He made new friends, took up surfing, and traveled quite a bit during the breaks in-between semesters. His college work was slightly above average: he put more priority on his social life, which now included a four-piece band in which he played guitar, a very clingy girlfriend, and his extracurricular activities in the school paper and yearbook. Towards the end of his college career, he slowly started to forget about the life he had in Twilight Town. He hadn't meant to, his life had gotten so busy, and had no reason to return to the town since his parents moved shortly after he left. But what he remembers he thinks back on with fondness and cherishes. He even looks at the photo album Olette made for him before he left from time to time.

He graduated from a journalism and professional music double major and went on to tour Europe (lolz, not musically) for the better part of a year, clingy girlfriend in tow. It wasn't long before said girlfriend started pressuring Roxas into marriage. He, however, wasn't all too keen on the idea and dumped her while they were still vacationing.

Once he got back to California, he was met with the decision to either make his way in the world as a musician or to apply for an entry-level journalism job at a paper and climb his way up to the dream career of a travel journalist. He moved to Metropolis, as it caters to both choices. On his first day in the city, he found out about job opportunities with the Weekly Metropolitan and applied.

He's currently on his third day in the city, browsing the real estate classifieds for an apartment.

The Character: Arystar Krory.

What Series is the Character from? D.Gray-Man.

Physical Appearance & Personality of Character: Arystar Krory is tall, dark and thin, almost bordering on skeletal. His dark black hair is cropped short and slicked back against his scalp, accentuated by a longer lock of white hair that usually manages to somehow escape the powers of the hair gel and flops down his face, making Arystar having to push it away from his face constantly.
His stark white, paler-than-normal skin isn't concealed due to his preferred choice of clothing, which is usually dark, mostly black, giving him an air of a corpse or worse, slightly gothic look that isn't helped by his air of melancholy constantly hovering about him.

Background of Character: Although Arystar is rather melancholy and –in someone's words—'makes everyone else feel like shit too', he had once been a contented individual once. He had been born and grown up in his grandfather's big old manor out in the countryside of Romania, and had been raised by his grandfather since his parents' death when he was two years old.
Because of his family's eccentric reputation –his grandfather did not help in dissipating this fact—Arystar's childhood would have been lonely if it hadn't been his grandfather's large and various collection of plants –large greenhouses and outdoor gardens included—and Eliade, the daughter of a merchant who travelled around the country and often visited his grandfather often. She also loved gardening –particularly roses—and their friendship continued until after his grandfather's death when Arystar was 23.
He asked for Eliade's hand for marriage and she and her father consented, the wedding date being set to four months later when the merchant would be visiting the manor again, at Arystar's insistence that he had to ready the manor for Eliade.
Four months later, it wasn't Eliade that came but a letter from the merchant, with nothing but a scrawled note informing him of her death.
He immediately shut himself up in the manor, only waking up to tend to the plants and flowers, but soon he gave up even that and sold the lot, manor and all, and with that money he travelled around the world, finally settling down in the Metropolis. He currently lives in a small house located in the outskirts of the city, spending his spare time gardening the few plants he had not sold in Romania, most of which are the breeds of roses that he had especially created for Eliade.
He applied for the job in the Weekly Metropolitan not because of any financial problems but because of the advise his counsellor-psychiatrist gave him about needing something more taxing to occupy him other than just gardening, but still, the photographs that he takes are mostly that of flowers and nature.

The morning sunlight flooded the tiny study and lit upon the tall thin figure in black, seemingly standing motionless and holding an elaborate picture frame in his hands. A bouquet of dark-red roses, streaked and spotted with black, stood in the vase on the table where he had picked the frame up from. Thin lips twitched in what should have been a smile.

"Eliade," the name was uttered in a sigh, a whisper before even that died down into the silence, as if he could say no more. The hands tightened very slightly around the picture of a smiling blond woman, seemingly reaching out to the person holding the camera, as if to pull it out of his hands. A silent inhale of air, and he continued. "Eliade, I.. The flowers finally bloomed today. It's the first time since.. since I came here." A short lapse back into the silence before he drew himself up again, "I.. I thought you might like it."

With a soft, gentle clack the man set the photo frame down on the table again, looking down upon the smiling carefree face for a while. "Eliade..."
