Samurai Usagi Com
mmm... Mind if I post this here?

I started up the Samurai Usagi com a while ago, and I wasn't going to make it until I could start scanlating it from the beginning of the series, but apparently my search to find someone with tankoubon scans of volume 1 of usagi wasn't a success.

Anyway, i guess it can still be a nice community even without the series scanlated, though i am still ready to scanlate the series whenever scans come out, so if any of you have them, or can scan them, it would be very much appreciated.

I'm sorry to say that my limited knowledge of LJ and themes make up the lack of style to the Com, so if any of you have any suggestions, just post them, there really aren't any rules to it yet, except for the obvious.

Anyway, hope it was alright to advertise the LJ on here. hehe...

You have my support. Usagi is by far my favorite new WSJ series that I'm rooting for to survive. :)

The same goes for me, I'm hoping to see Usagi actually evolving into some sort of epic series, though I like the current plot so far.

Yea, that's basically all I know at this point, and there are obvious comedy that can be expected from being a 15 year old married couple.

It also seems that he's inherited his fathers dojo and is practicing fencing. Not sure about the rest of it, but there're probably translators that can describe some more.

The basic story is that the main character, Gosuke (15 years old), inherited his father's kendo dojo as both his father and elder brother(s?) had to commit seppuku for committing some kind of offense.

Gosuke decided that he would create a style of kendo that everybody can enjoy. He got married because apparently a sempai told him it is good for a samurai to be married.XD But it's a double benefit because while Gosuke is trying to build up his dojo, his wife Shino makes rabbit masks to bring in income and generally supports him in everything he does (she's such a sweetheart but not in a cloying way). hence the "Usagi" imagery in the series.

as I said, I'm still reading it so that's all I can say for now...:)

Usagi looks so good! It's upsetting that there are no translations, let alone scanlations. I do have access to tankoubon if you want them - for scanning or just for owning; lots of good manga stores in the area (well, three). Though for all I know you have access to them too :)

But yeah, I joined the com gladly even if I can't read the series. I do hope it pulls through and survives a while longer yet...

lol, well, I'm trying to encourage anyone to scan those volumes for me, I'd love anyone right now (desperate, lol)

If you're able to scan them, this goes for everyone, please do, I'd really like to provide these scanlations for the public, and... you know... learn what this series is about, lol.

I just got the 4 tankoubons available so far, and am steadily plowing through them. Usagi is really a different animal(heh) from the other JUMP series

Can I ask from what you're translating from? I just mean either the magazine scans or the tankoubon scans. Cause as you might know, sometimes the dialogue changes a bit.

But still, it wouldn't change that much XD, thanks for translating.

Found the magazine scan on Mangahelpers. (most of the chapters are still there but some are gone from no one really touching them)
