"Hi angel," Mary said softly and caressed the baby's cheek again with her finger. It made his mouth twitch a little; not quite a smile, but getting there. "You okay in here?" Mary asked. The baby flailed a little, waving his hands in the air, as if saying 'hey Mommy, look what I just found'. It made Mary's smile widen. "Alright then," she said and kissed his forehead. He cooed in reply.
