AboutThis community is a resource for all things related to wedding makeup. While many makeup communities exist in LiveJournal, this community is specifically geared toward wedding makeup of all types. It serves to be a collection of photos, advice, and an open forum for asking makeup-related questions, as long as it is pertinent to weddings.
These are the following rules for this community. As it is new, these rules may be subject to change:
1. Common courtesy must exist at all times. No flaming, name-calling, etc. Discrimination of any sort will not be allowed in this community. Male-identified persons are welcome in this community, as well.
2. We encourage photos, but for the sanity of all users' friends-lists, we respectfully request that any image over 400 pixels in any direction and ALL multiple images be put behind a cut. Please use photos to which you own the copyright. If you are using an image you do not own, please make sure you mention where you got it from (i.e., photographer/model names, or an outside link to that information).
3. You may not post photos in which you are "bashing" someone else's makeup job.
Acceptable: "I had my makeup done at XYZ and I am not pleased with this and that. Thoughts on how to make it better?"
Unacceptable: "Look at this picture of my cousin Barbie. Doesn't she look hideous?"
4. This community is not only designed to show off makeup looks you like or would like to achieve, but also for asking questions. Remember that every individual has a different skill level and different relationship with makeup. What may seem basic and easy to one person, may be challenging for another.
5. Makeup artists and photographers who have tips to share are more than welcome to do so in this community.
6. This community is not for sharing or posting anything about HAIR. This community is strictly makeup-oriented.
7. No commercial postings or solicitations of any type. Do not try to sell your makeup stash. Do not try to sell makeup books. Do not spam the community. There will be no warnings for postings of this type, the use will be banned immediately. The one EXCEPTION to this rule, is when a member inquires as to a referral in their geographic area. If a member is asking if their is an artist in their area and one exists, they may REPLY to the comment. A separate post should not be made in response. Additionally, if you are an artist and have an electronic portfolio or website, you may only post that information if you are using it to demonstrate in response to a member's post. This is community is not for commercial gain.
