| About: | Webkinz are our furry friends made by Ganz. After you bring your plush friend home from the store, you can also adopt them online! You can have your own house with lots of furniture, feed your pet special food and play with toys. To buy these things, you need to earn KinzCash by playing games in the arcade, doing jobs or answering trivia at Quizzy's Question Corner. There is also the Webkinz Newz, which has news (obviously), contests, surveys, crafts and "W-tales" stories every week.
This community is a place to discuss the Webkinz site and toys, share stories & pictures, and ask for advice/tips on how to do things (eg. recipes, game tips).
Rules and Tips:
1) Do not share or ask anyone about how to get a registration code. It is not possible, as you need to buy a toy to get a code. This community will NOT support people who steal.
2) Please keep your posts on topic. If it's not Webkinz-related, please discuss somewhere else.
3) Respect each other. Think before you write and keep a mature attitude. People who flame and bother other members will be dealt with severely.
4) Language and appropriateness. Because Webkinz is primarily used by kids and parents, it's quite likely that many members here will be one or the other. Posts in this community are also visable to non-members, which could be minors. So play nice and keep everything "Family-rated".
5) If you plan to post pictures or make a long post, please us an LJ-cut. Ditto if you want to discuss any possible spoilers for a game, story, contest or whatever. (Instructions can be found here.) You may post one "lead in" picture, as long as it is not over 500 pixels square. This size may be adjusted up or down as practical issues dictate. Anything that "breaks" the layout is too large and must be hidden behind a cut.
6) Please put your posts in plain text (instead of rich text.) Please also keep your font size the default of the journal. You're more than welcome to enter your own HTML tags, just be sure to always close your tags. ^^;;
7) Please make sure to include a descriptive subject line in your posts. It is important for people who are using a RSS or other data feed and it will make it easier to search through the archives at a later date. You don't have to add a tag for every post, just be aware the "tag fairy" may come along at some point if it looks like your info may be useful in the future.
8) In light of the new community ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) webkinz_fun, please use their weekly trading thread. Minor individual requests or offers here are going to be allowed for the time being. They've worked out well so far, but please don't abuse the privilege by posting every hour.
9) Selling of Webkinz items through this community is strongly discouraged. Please refer to the Real Life Trading Thread on webkinz_fun to find people who can procure Webkinz items for you. Alerting users to your items on ebay or other such "safe" auction sites will be allowed for the time being. Again, do not abuse the privilege or your posts will be deleted.
