The Witching Hour
So is anybody here going to be attending The Witching Hour in Salem in October?

I vaguely remember somone in a knitting community mentioning it ages ago, but now I can't remember and can't find any trace of it. I only made the decision to go a few days ago (since I just graduated from University and didn't know where I'd be in the Fall, location or job-wise), and I've checked the programming listings and there doesn't seem to be anything official organized for knitting or crochet (though there does seem to be a costuming workshop, I think?)

If anyone here is going, would you be interested in setting up either a Room of Requirement or just an unofficial meetup at some point during the weekend? I'll have to look at the schedule of events more closely to figure that one out (I may not be there during one of the days to visit friends in Boston, and I've signed up for pro-Quidditch so that might take up some time), but if it's not too late, to set up something official, would it be worth it?

Unfortunately I can't go to the Witching Hour, but I do remember one post about a knitting get-together; [info]neotoma floated the idea of a knitting gathering several months ago, in [info]craftyslashers.

Oooh, thanks so much for that! *comments immediately on post* I'm not a member of that comm, so that might explain why I didn't think to look there.

I'm sorry you can't go :-(

I'd definitely be interested! I'm on the TWH tech team and will probably be running around messing with microphones a good bit of the time, but I should be able to request the block of time off if we arrange it soon. I think it would be great fun, especially since a lot of us have been admiring each other's work from afar for years.

haha, yeah after I commented, I went back and was like, "...wait, she probably already knew that." :p

We're just starting to come up with the tech shift schedule, so I should still have some time to plan around the roundtable. orrrrr, worst comes to worst, I just get somebody to swap shifts with me. it's like working at McDonald's!

If I can get transportation up there, I'd love to meet up with everyone! It would be so cool to finally put faces to the lovely works we've seen each other do.

*runs off to figure out bus schedules*
