Some items are duplicated from past issues, but there's a lot of new information contained here. Please take a moment to read through it all!A Sad Farewell
As many of you are aware, recently one of our key members made the announcement that he would no longer be returning to RP with us. Zhaon, affectionately known as Zal to most of us, Wizard Ruler and my coadmin, resigned from Wealdendun on July 26th. For those who missed his message, in very brief terms Zhaon needed to take secondary commitments out of his life and focus on those things for his future. He will not be completely shutting Wealdendun related things from his life, as he will continue to help me draw characters and maps and keep me in line when I write my future stories etc, but he will no longer be a part of our forum. Many of us have enjoyed his friendship and dedication on and to this site. Zhaon has been a key member in making Wealdendun what it is today and I know I couldn't have gotten this far with the site without him. It was he who pressed me constantly to update the histories of the races, create new creatures and characters, and design new layouts and spark creativity. Always an interesting writer and never giving us a dull moment, Zhaon will be surely missed on our site. My best wishes for whatever he uses his extreme creativity for.
New Events Coordinator
In light of the sad news, it is my pleasure to announce our new Events Coordinator. Congratulations to Malluni who is now in charge of creating daily, weekly, and monthly events that wil keep our non-rping members occupied. Things such as gem hunts in the Lone Mountain, archery contest in Rurisk, and riddle games and more are under her control. If a member is waiting to RP with others, these events should help keep members busy, improve their writing, and have fun without effecting the main timelines of RP. If you have anything you would like to see happen in this Event area, contact Malluni.
More Powers
While Malluni and Turen are not listed as admin (Wealdendun Rulers) they are hereby promoted to my left and right hands, helping fill the gap left by Zhaon's departure. They are two of the most reliable and most knowledgeable people on Wealdendun material and are there to assist me as much as possible. Don't hesitate to contact them if I cannot be reached.
Still WANTED
1 - Creative person(s) willing to help Malluni run, moderate, and create events on the site. These events may be RP-related, but they will not factor into the true story-line. These events can be weekly or monthly, but should be designed to entertain and keep members busy when they are not RPing in our world. All events will take place on the forum. They can be games or writing activities - with approval, you will have free reign to create what you think others will enjoy If you are at all interested, please email me at natulcien@wealdendun.com .
2 - Newsletter/Event Helper. I need someone who would be willing to summarize (weekly) the events of the forum. This includes, but is not limited to: announcing birthdays and sending birthday email messages; typing summaries of RPs for members to quickly catch up on; announcing games and activies for members to join; adding events to forum calendar. Newest Events
Willind, Gwendolyn, Ayorah, Talias, and Keira seem to be in for quite an interesting adventure on board their sea-faring vessels. Certain death or terrible injury seems to be about to happen. And Gwendolyn seems to have become one with some sort of magic object. Read about it in The Northern Shore of Snyttrund.

Current Events
If anyone is interested, I am wanting to send a goodbye gift to Zhaon. Short stories and poems dedicated to and about his character or his person will be collected and sent to him. If you wish to participate, please send an attachment or inline text email to me and I'll compile them all to be sent his way.
I am currently working on the following. 1) Our RP Rules and training area are undergoing an entirely new setup and extensive revamp. 2) Our forum rules and FAQ will be edited to better help those new to forums. 3) An official Wealdendun map.
I will be rotating the items for sale at CafePress shortly, so new designs will be available if you wish to purchase anything.
Posting Requests
- We could always use evil characters. Currently Malefactora needs more evil characters to join her in attacking the Lone Mountain. If you are thinking about creating another character, please think about becoming a Shadow Dweller.
- We could also use Elves. While Natulcien journeys to the west, activity in the land of Rurisk and the four provinces may dwindle. I would hate to see the elves stop posting because their Queen is not there.
- Wolven Changelings are much needed. Please concider joining as a WC, or post once again as you are needed in the next step of the Quest to the West
- Everyone: POST! If you think the thread is dead, try to revive it with another post. If you think you have waited long enough for someone to post before you, politely step in and try to post so that others may join you. More often than not, a person is waiting on you and you think you are waiting on them

Random Facts of the Month
- The month of August, in our world, is known as Brynin, the elven meaning is generally assumed to be Fire Bringer though it is not literal. Brynin is the last month of Liegtons , the Fire Months, though also known as summer in the common tongue. Brynin also ushers in Riptima - harvest or the Time of Ripening.
- Each of the twelve Ieldran had a race that they helped, guided, looked out for, and in some instances controlled. For example, Mortar's race was the Dwarves and Réysus looked after the Mortals.
- The Wizards of Snyttrund have longer lives due not only to their use of magic but also through a gift from Natulcien. She placed an enchanted orb of water of her own making in their well that is now located in the Bari'dorin province. Return visits to said well keeps the Wizards' lifespans long.
