Tina Fey and Steve Carell got to work filming Date Night in LA on Thursday. They play a typical married couple that go on a roller coaster of a date in the film, which already includes a cast like Leighton Meester and James Franco. This week we were treated to lots of laughs on new episodes of The Office and 30 Rock — which included talk of slankets and tattoos — but we already can't wait to see Steve and Tina's forces combine with some new talent in one hilarious movie.

A towering Steve Carell stomped a path through Miniland USA at Legoland California last Sunday!
Carell, along wife Nancy, seven-year-old daughter Annie and four-year-old son Johnny, spent the day at the Carlsbad, CA theme park, where they enjoyed attractions such as Land of Adventure, Miniland USA, Knights' Tournament and Dino Island.
Nancy even ran into an old high school friend at the park, proving that Miniland USA at Legoland really is a small world!

According to the annual Harris Poll taken to determine who is America's favorite TV personality, Steve is in the top ten, ranking at #6 ahead of fellow fake news anchor, Stephen Colbert and behind Charlie Sheen.

Here is the list:

1. Jay Leno
2. Hugh Laurie
3. Ellen DeGeneres
4. Oprah Winfrey
5. David Letterman
6. Jon Stewart
7. Charlie Sheen
8. Steve Carell
9. Stephen Colbert
10. Mark Harmon

I am not sure about this list... I mean both of the Stevphen's should be higher up in my opinion. :)

More information about "The Goode Family", an animated comedy starring our very own, Nancy Carell. In this ABC comedy, about a family who "is obsessed with doing the 'right' thing whether it's environmentally, politically or socially. Unfortunately their efforts often have unintended comic consequences."

Also, I created a new community dedicated to The Goode Family: [info]thegoodefamily

Here are a couple of pictures from the press junket along with a video preview from IGN.

Well, it seems that Nancy will now be using Carell as her professional last name. :)

Cohasset funnygal Nancy Walls, known to NBC’s “The Office” audience as real-life hubby Steve Carell’s real-estate agent, is using her married name now that she’s scored a role on a new ABC animated sitcom.

“Oh, you know, I’ve been Nancy Carell for almost 14 years in every other aspect, except if my name appears on TV,” the former “SNL” actress and “The Daily Show” correspondent said during the press junket for her new show, “The Goode Family.”

“I thought it was time,” she said, “because it’s who I am now.”

This song clip has an actor playing Steve Carell's character, so it sorta relates to this community :).

I started this song over a year ago with the dream of writing a fansong, a song that a TV character would sing at a specific moment in an episode. After numerous drafts, "Withought a Thought" premiered at my cabaret songbook back in November. Here is the video clip.

A fansong for Jan Levenson of NBC's The Office. This song takes place during season four's 4th episode "Money" when Michael has run away to the trainyard and Jan runs after him.

We don't own the characters, but we do own this song.

Thank you to BethAnn, Rochelle, and Aliza for giving me lyric feedback, and, of course, to the amazing Rob Hartmann(composer) for helping me realize my dream of writing a fansong :).

Because HBO has taken most of the "We Are One" videos down from youtube, I've decided to post a couple of videos shot by people who were there, although you can hardly see Steve at all. You CAN, however, watch the whole thing, for free, on HBO's website HERE. I've also added a couple of pictures from the HBO Website.

Both of these videos cut off parts of his speech a bit, though in different parts.

Pre-Inauguration festivities begin this weekend and our favorite funnyman is not to be left out. He will be attending a pre-inauguration event on Sunday and reading one of many historical passages, along with Tiger Woods, Queen Latifah, Martin Luther King III, Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks, among others. This event will be titled, “WE ARE ONE: THE OBAMA INAUGURAL CELEBRATION AT THE LINCOLN MEMORIAL” and aired on HBO at 7 PM ET. If you have satellite or cable and are not aware, HBO is free this entire weekend in honour of the Presidential Inauguration. Look for pictures from the event as well as video, later this week on [info]we_love_showbiz.

For a full list of celebrities to be seen at various inaugural events click HERE.

For information on attending this event, please click THIS link or got to the Presidential Inaugural Committee Website.

In other news, as the details of the Fox- Warner Bros. settlement are released, we are hearing that Steve Carell's name popped up in the negotiations. According to Variety,

"Another area that was explored involved Steve Carell. Fox wants to pair the actor with Tina Fey in "Date Night," a comedy that Shawn Levy will direct. Fox needs to get that film in production by the spring, because Fey has a small window before resuming her duties of writing and starring in "30 Rock."

WB was in a position to block that, because it held an option on Carell for a "Get Smart" sequel that it could have used to ruin Fox’s "Date Night" dreams. WB didn’t press that, because it has a strong relationship with Carell and it was clear that "The Office" star badly wanted to make the movie with Fey. WB agreed to push "Get Smart 2" to spring 2010, a move made before the studio settled its "Watchmen" dispute."

A very good turn of events for fans of Steve; there is no need to worry quite yet about his involvement in either project.

Sporadic postings are so our style. Eff yeah. Anyway. Got a videooo...wanna see? This is from Steve's one-episode appearance on Just Shoot Me, aka that annoying show with David Spade and the hooker friend chick from Pretty Woman (i.e. Laura San Giacomo) about the fashion magazine. Yeah. That one. Steve appears very briefly (about two and a half minutes all together) as an INS agent...Enjoy!

P.S. - Sorry the first few seconds are all black and effed up. :/ Not sure what happened, but I assure you, Steve manages to be unscathed. That is, the part with him in it is a-okay. :)
