I'm going to be posting sign-ups for Round 8 after the voting for Round 7 is done. But before I do that I want to collect some comments and suggestions for how [info]wd_lims is run. In particular...

→ Comments on Round 7 and its elimination system.
→ What you'd like to see in the next round (or the community in general).
→ Suggestions for challenges! I have a couple in mind, but I found I had to struggle a bit this past round, especially after around Challenge 5. If you have any, I'd love to hear them.

Comments will be screened, so feel free to post anything. :)

Those are good ideas, I'll try having more themes at the beginning and adding one or two technical challenges towards the end.

Hm... that's a good point regarding constructive criticism. Sometimes it's hard to come up with something constructive to say, though, so I don't want to force people to write constructive criticism every time, but maybe I can (1) make a voting guide to demonstrate good votes and bad votes, and (2) add a line on every voting post that says, "Wherever possible, please make constructive suggestions in your negative votes," or something like that.


Do you mean an entire LIMS round based on Pixar or live-action movies? Or just a challenge here and there?


And your challenge suggestions are great! I'll incorporate them into Round 8. :)

There will definitely be either a Pixar or a live movie theme next round. :) I'll see if I can fit in an Enchanted challenge -- we haven't had one of those yet.

And I agree that Round 7 dragged on. With the number of participants we had, it should have finished within 6 challenges but it went to 9, and I apologize for that. I need to calibrate the number of eliminations per challenge, but I think I'll stick to the new elimination system.

Thanks for the feedback on the elimination system. :)

And that's the second vote for an Enchanted round, so I'll definitely put it in there. The other ones sound good too. I'll try to fit those in, but they'll most likely get pushed to Round 9.

Also, what do you mean by a "bad cap" round? Is that a round where I choose bad caps, or...?

All right, that sounds good for a comeback challenge. It'd be good to have one of those this round, since we haven't had one since Round 2. :)
