After everything, the following morning is fun -- testing Kaylee's range of motion, doing other tests -- cardiac MRI, transesophageal echocardiogram, bloodwork.

The afternoon is spent sleeping.

Simon's gone off to sleep, and Kaylee's close to waking up.

Visitors are apparently -- according to the good doctor -- allowed.

Mal's been in to see Kaylee, a little while ago, but he's back, and he's carrying the music box he picked up for her while Kaylee was fighting off...whatever it was.

Mal leaves the music box beside Kaylee before turning, attempting to be quiet, again toward the door.

Thud.

That would be Mal walking straight into a stool by accident, and he bites his lip to keep from cursing aloud.
