Rules and Guidelines

Posting Fiction

1) Watson should be the focus of the fics. But:
2) Watson must be either hurt, sick, depressed, or else not in a condition that is considered normal or healthy (emphasis on the community name Watsons_Woes). Even if he is not the focus of the fic. He must be in the fic.
3) Other characters may be included in the fiction but should not be the sole focus!
4) At least a hint of a not-absolutely-healthy-Watson (either physically, mentally or emotionally) must be featured in the story.
5) This is a community for Watson fic first and foremost. Or fic dealing to a big extent with Watson.

If you break the rules you'll be asked to stick to them. If you break them repeatedly, your fic that isn't consistent with the rules will be taken off the site. If you, after that, still don't stick to the rules, you will be temporarily banned.

General Holmes Communities are, for example:

mere_appendix (our sister comm, for Holmes-torturing fic)
thereadcircle (our newest affiliated community, a place where canon is read and discussed)

Plagiarism

1) Plagiarism is a crime.
2) If we see that your story contains lines or parts from previously published fiction, without having the original author's permission, you will be warned and asked to fix it.
3) If you do not fix it within three (3) days (72 hours) of the warning, your entry will be deleted and you will be banned for two (2) weeks (14 days).
4) If there is a repeat of this, your entry will be deleted and you will be permanently banned.
5) Unintentionally direct quotes or duplicating plot bunnies are not deliberate and can be easily fixed by adding credit if an author feels his work or original idea is threatened or copied.

We're not going to be plagiarism police, just trying to give authors opportunities to say "Yo, credit me if you're going to use my lines or characters or paraphrase something I said however long ago it was."

If you, in any way, use lines or plots of other authors, you need to have their permission.

Rules and Guidelines for commenting and warning

-Don't flame! Flamers will be banned from the comm and the comments removed.
-Don't spam! Spammers will be banned and the posts/comments removed.
-Use the tags! It's less work for us and people will find your fic easier.
-Slash is not forbidden at this comm but warn for slash! If you don't like slash - don't read it. Make it easy for your fellow members to find/avoid slash or being flamed.
-Also, please warn for movie/tv spoilers, (attempted) suicide, (pending) character death, alternative universe, non-con, and torture.

Challenge Rules

Fiction:
1) Unless otherwise specifyed the general community rules apply.
2) There is no word limit, but your fic needs to be at least drabble length (100 words).
3) Your story must be a one-shot (no multy-chaptered stories are allowed).
4) You have two weeks (14 days) to enter the challenge.

Art:
1) You have two weeks (14 days) to enter the challenge.
2) Your art (video, photomanipulation, drawing etc.) must be consistent with the challenge.
