Hello, everyone.
This community was created to celebrate the beautiful art of John William Waterhouse who lived from 1849-1917. Sometimes considered a Pre-Raphaelite artist, Waterhouse created beautiful paintings depicting classic scenes from Greek mythology, Shakespeare and Tennyson. Many people recognize his artwork, full of mystifying damsels and femme fatales.
This community celebrates his art through discussion, and sharing links and LJ icons/backgrounds.
