Question
I just want to know if anyone has had this happen, so have any of you had a crush on management? And if so what did you do?

Haha, yes, but he was visiting to help with inventory and then he went back to his own store. I tried to ignore my feelings but it was hard, he was so cute, and ridiculously nice. He went back to his own store within 3 weeks though, so it wasn't too much of a problem. Now all of my management is 35+ years old (and I'm 19!) or women.

Yes, lol, for me all that happens is I keep getting roped into covering other departments if she asks me. Which happened again just last night. My face went GOD NO but my mouth went OKAY. Stupid mouth.

Edit: OH LOL she tried to call me in to work earlier, but I got heatstroke and was asleep when she called, so I just got the message right now. My mouth would have said OKAY again.

Better the jumpropes than the hunting rifles (tho we don't have those in SG anymore) ;)

Here too, just machetes and airsoft guns. Our store's zombie preparedness and evacuation plan had to make a lot of changes, now we will be fighting zombies at close range.

I am the team leader for "Code Z" at my store. LOL. One of the guys who thinks I am crazy is one of the assemblers, Kenny. The sporting goods Code Z captain thinks HE is crazy for not considering the possibility that it might one day come to pass. My gf thinks that when the zombies do come, the non-believer will be one of the first to get eaten, and she called dibs on saying "Oh my god, they killed Kenny! You BASTARDS!" I told him on that day I will get him a nice red shirt.

Lol, we talk about our zombie plan as well. My hubby and I also have a zombie plan like we do a fire escape plan. If there ever were zombies, at least a handful of us walmart employees already have it taken care of!

We also talk about Wal Mart survivor and which employees we'd eat if we were stranded on a mountain during a plane crash.

lol, yeah we have it worked out, that eventually the water supply is going to be contaminated, who knows a zombie could fall into the water supply. Depending on what type of zombie, so how will be test the water, have someone we don't like test it. Then someone said why not use the filters in sporting goods, then I said, what if it's something we can't filter, lol. We could go on all night with this stuff.

When they took our guns out of sporting goods, the first thing I worried about was what would happen during a zombie invasion. It is also a good thing we have all of those fire doors, because those wussy front doors would in no way keep zombies out of the store and we need the store open for supplies. Supplies for only us, of course.

Garden center will have to be cut off too because those gates aren't keeping out the really good zombies. If we have Night of the Living Dead zombies then we'd be okay, but if we have Day of the Dead zombies we will have to be on our toes!

I'd be really afraid of the Resident Evil, 28 Days/Weeks Later, and well they aren't really zombies, but the I Am Legend zombies.

I can't even WATCH 28 Days/Weeks later. The Resident Evil movies I can watch at home but not in the theatres, but I can't play the games at all, or any survival-horror games for that matter. The critters in I Am Legend are more like vampires than zombies, except dear god they are freaky looking. I just really pray they are slow zombies all full of rigor and stuff.

I really only worry about the first week, since I'm not sure how long a federal zombie task force unit would take to mobilize and rescue the survivors. In Shaun of the Dead they got there within 24 hours, but this is America. We might take longer. Or else just nuke the whole nation ....

lol, yeah one night we had this huge discussion, when we should have been stocking. We were debating and talking all zombies, first it was what zombies, then what happened if it happened right now. Love the zombies. Theres a co-worker I work with that is afraid of zombies, he thinks it'll happen. No doubt, I think it might too, but at the moment it's not my biggest fear, lol.

Oh, I totally AM that associate whose biggest fear is zombies. Being team leader for this at my store, I just hope when the day comes that I can work through my fear to help ensure our survival.

Try being halfway in love with both your dept manager, and your assistant manager, both of whom flirt with you constantly. *laughs* It makes for a fun workday, even if I can't take it to the next level.

lol, yeah, my support manager, the one I like. We flirt constantly, he has gotten investigated twice before. I mean we could keep it a secret, but he's afraid we'll get caught and I'd rather quit then let him get fired.

See, here's the thing. I've got a massive crush on two of my store's assistant managers. The problem is I'm convinced that neither one of them has a life outside of Wal-Mart. So even if by some rare chance one of us were to leave the store and I'd end up with one of them (not likely to happen, but yeah), it wouldn't make for a very fun relationship. ;-)

One of my old assistant managers used to be amazing. You CAN act on it if you're both willing to make sacrifices. Said A.M transfered to a new store because he wanted to start a relationship with an electronics associate. They are now married and having a kid.

Reminds me of an assistant from my old store. He transferred from the store he was originally at because he and a CSM started dating. And guess who's married now?
