How many Walmarts are in your city?!

There are 3 supercenters in my city, and there is another currently being built and supposed to be open by the end of the year. The next city over has 2 supercenters.

There aren't any Supercenters in my province (vive le Quebec and what not).
On island there are 3. There's another one within a 20 minute drive from my store off island.
And about 5 others within pretty close drives (approx. 20 - 30 minutes depending on traffic).

There's rumours floating around my store that they're going to build another store about 5 minutes away (but if they do, they'll apparently be closing mine. It's mostly a tax thing. And we get all sorts of nasty fines for our garden centre. woohoo!)

the "other store" won't happen for a while. because of provincial laws (trying to protect provigo/metro/loblaws) and also the warehouse for supercenter stores in central/atlantic canada is currently being built, so transportation right now (from the warehouse in western canada) would be wayyyy too expensive.

You must live in a huge city. Mine has one and is lucky to support that with our 19k population and failing paper mills.

Eh, I live in the 5th (well one of the top 5 cities) top city in Georgia. The next city over, Warner Robins is really a military town that is constantly growing. I've always heard the first one in Warner Robins was one of the busiest Walmarts in the country, so they built another one to take some of the overflow.

My city has one Wal*Mart. I work at one an equal distance away from my home, but it's 2 cities over and across the county line.

Yea, theres a target here, and in the next city over. same with kmart. there are plenty of discount stores here; freds, big lots, family dollar, dollar general. as for mcdonalds and bk i could swear theres atleast 20! the krogers around here have a lot of gm stuff, they just built a new one that pretty much looks like a walmart building.

I'm in Phoenix....just 3 or 4 in the city of Phoenix...but as far as the metropolitan area including Peoria, Glendale, Scottsdale etc, there's probably about 10 or more alltogether.

In the town I live in during the school year, there is only one. And it closes every night at 10:00 and there's no food :(

But my hometown has only one Supercenter within the actual Boise city limits, but if you include Meridian, GarbageGarden City, and Nampa (they're all really part of Boise, they just don't want to admit it) there are five Supercenters and a Sam's Club. There's also Supercenters in Mountain Home and Caldwell, which are far enough away that they can be considered their own towns if they want...

So....lots.

We have a Supercenter and a Sam's Club in Salina. The next closest Wal-Mart is about 30 miles away. Our store draws from a large rural area to our north and west. We hear occasional rumors about another store opening on the north side of town, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
