THE
walgreenworkers RULES (and their reasons):1. NO negative, insulting or derogatory comments allowed. This applies to comments in general and/or comments directed towards other community members.
(You wouldn't like someone to say anything insulting or hurtful to you, so please don't do it to others. This includes being sensitive to others when posting about race, ethnicity, religion, etc.)
2. NO sexually harassing/suggestive comments allowed.
(This can and will make someone feel uncomfortable, so please refrain from such comments.)
3. DO NOT list your store number, district number or the various paging codes used throughout Walgreens.
(This could be construed as revealing company secrets by Loss Prevention. This could also put you and/or your fellow coworkers in danger should someone read this LJ, learn your store's location and codes and know when to rob a register in need of a cash drop.)
4. If you are complaining or ranting about your co-workers (and we're ALL your co-workers) DO NOT use real names, LJ user names, store numbers, etc. Use a false name or no name at all. If you are thanking or complimenting co-workers, please use a FIRST NAME ONLY; NO store number or additional identifying information. An LJ user name is OK ONLY for positive events, NO NEGATIVE usage of anyone's LJ user name.
(This is to protect everyone's privacy...even good news can sometimes have negative consequences.)
5. If you have a long post, please use an "LJ-Cut" (see the Help & Support section for more information) to shorten the appearance of the post.
(Scrolling down through a long post is time-consuming and frustrating for those who don't want to read that post.)
6. If you have photos of/at Walgreens, please remove ALL identifying aspects (store signage, sale ads, etc.) before posting your photos. Photos of Walgreens people (as long as you DO NOT list their real names) are ok.
(Loss Prevention could also consider photos to be revealing company secrets.)
7. Remember NOT to violate HIPAA...it IS the law to maintain patient privacy. DO NOT use patient names or ANY identifying information in a post/rant.
(This is self-explanatory and violation of HIPAA IS breaking the law.)
8. Questions regarding company policies, posting the Loss Prevention phone number, or other nonspecific concerns about your Walgreens experience ARE OK as long as you respect the above listed rules.
(This is a community of people who can sometimes provide helpful advice, so as long as the above rules are considered, questions and concerns ARE welcome here. If you are seeking advice about being harassed, please post any graphic examples behind an "LJ-CUT" with "NSF-not safe for work" as part of the text field.)
9. POST AT YOUR OWN RISK!
(Be careful what you say. You don't want to inadvertently admit to doing something you could be held accountable for or unintentionally subject your coworkers to unnecessary investigation.)
Violation of the above rules will result in a "three strikes" rule. Two verbal warnings, then a 30-day suspension of posting access. If the violation(s) continue after the 30-day suspension ends, the offender will be removed from the community.
The bottom line - play nice with others and let's all do our part to keep this community a fun and pleasant place to chat.
