Music Nation is an online video contest for the Rock, Pop, and Urban genres. Beginning January 29th, every week for 12 weeks, 2 winners will be chosen – one by a panel of expert judges, and one by the fans. One winner in each genre will receive a record deal with Epic Records and an appearance on Clear Channel's Stripped.

musicnation_mod will be posting the weekly winners, and other updates, but this community is mostly for you! If you're a Music Nation contestant or a fan of one (or a few!), use this space to gain exposure and votes – post your videos and share with the community a little about yourself or the artist(s) you're lobbying for. If you're not yet a contestant, but want to be, you can still enter!

We've recently started getting some non-Music Nation videos submitted to the community so I IM'd the guys over at Music Nation and to my surprise they were really excited about having them get unscreened.

So here you guys go.... we'll be letting them through. If you like the videos, go comment to the poster and encourage them to enter. Maybe we can get an LJer to win this thing after all.

The Judges' Choice winner in the Rock category for Week Four was Wake Up, by Panima. They have a unique sound and and Howard Benson said it reminded him of a "younger Hoobastank." Joel Madden was nicely succinct with: "Good song, cool video, really fit in with what’s happening today too."

Plus, you can look psychic to all your friends when you say confidently that one's going to make it to the next round.

So their myspace (http://myspace.com/thescreening) says their from good ol' England, but on their Music Nation profile they claim to be from Albany, New York...wherever they're from I think they're bloody awesome!  The video isn't super flashy, it's just 4 guys playing music. No stories, no themes, just sounds. I think they sound great, what do you think?
