Community Profile

Well, since the voltron_force LJ is gone, here's a new general comm to serve the Voltron fans on LJ! We are not endorsed by or affiliated with WEP, the owners of Voltron.

This is a fan-run and fan-based community for Voltron. That's all things Voltron. This journal will be used to (hopefully) be an LJ hub for fans of all stripes to promote their sites, work, post news and pose general questions/discussions. We in the Voltron fan community do tend to get holed up in our comfort zones, and I'd like to see us all get more cross-promotion and exposure. Who knows, you might try something new and like it! You might not, but we can probably all agree we like Voltron so surely that's a good start.

That means any and all things Voltron are fair game - LV, VV, V3D, comics, the shows, the anime they were based on, the "unmade" Voltron - Albegas, fan stuff, etc - it's all welcome and encouraged. All pairings and genres of fan works are permitted, too. It is geared toward adult fans, and one should keep that in mind before joining.

10) Tell us anything else you think we should know about you - it can be anything from totally random to rather significant.


A few rules:
**Any potentially offensive, nude or graphic art or other works must be placed under an LJ-cut and a warning given as to its contents. This way, people who have squicks, kids about, or are at work can make appropriate choices on whether or not to view.
Also, any fics or pics of considerable size or length should also go under a cut as to not overwhelm people's friends' pages or connections. Remember your internet courtesy!

**If you're giving an external link, also please warn us if there's any potential for offense before we head over there. But indeed, pimp anything you've really enjoyed and think other fans should go see.

**Feel free to pimp your own stuff here, or just point us to a find you think another fan might want to check out. Please don't spam us though and keep it on topic.

**Off topic notes are permitted, but label them as such and keep it brief (for instance, Voltron fans might be interested that another 80s toon is coming to DVD and it's alright to post that). OT posts should be few and far between and the topic should be of interest to a fan of Voltron.

**Let's all try to get along. If you don't like a pairing or point of view expressed by someone, it's fine to disagree and debate, but try to keep it civil. Often, these are matters of opinion and nobody is going to "win". As such, please try to keep flame bait posts such as "Reasons VV sucks" to a minimum. There's a better way to express why you like LV better (and so on) than to so blatantly insult those who may not quite agree. Not telling anyone what to like, but be considerate of other users whose tastes may run contrary to yours.

**Along the same lines, no ship wars. That means, for those who don't know, I don't want to see any K&Aers shredding L&Aers and vice versa and so on. Just like the above, file it under personal preference and move on...you can always scroll past the posts that don't interest you!
