Hey there,
I have been trying real hard to lose some weight.
One of my downfalls is that I like to drink on the weekends.

Does anyone know how many calories are in an oz of vodka?

I'm really interested in the flavored vodkas.
I'm also curious to know if there are carbs in the flavored vodkas.

They are really good mixed with Sprite Zero.
And if they are low in carbs and calories.
That's a winning diet drink.

Hi everyone ♥

I took Phentermine about two months ago (dropped 22lbs in 3 weeks) and stopped for about another month .Im goin to take them again but I know that after a while your body begins to adapt to the pills(does anyone know after how long your body begins to respond that way) and it dosen't supress your apetite like it should anymore, I would like to know after how long is it "safe" to take them after you have taken them for a month and stopped taking Phen for a month. This time i only plan on taking them for a short period of time as well. If anyone knows anything please comment.

Introduction Thing.

Heya.
I found this community doing a random journal search and had basically read it all over and made me feel quilty.
So Im weighing near 170lbs now and Im about to break down. I used to weight 130 to 145lb I used to hop back and forth between the two and I wish I was back at that weight. I just suddenly out of nowhere gained all this extra weight. Well Ive been trying my best to diet, which is hard for me. Im one of those "I perfer to stay at home" types of people and when I do that I get too comfortable and think I need to keep eating. Ive been trying to be somewhat more active, I tried doing excersise and just keep falling off from that train. Ive been doing my best to eat better and not eat late at night like I usually do. I figuired this community would be the best to join to check up and maybe get inspired to keep on pushing myself.
Just wanted to say my hello before posting more.

I just joined so I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Angela and weigh 145 lbs. I had a beautiful baby girl 3 months ago, and at that time I weighed 160 lbs. Before I got pregnant I weighed 120 lbs. I would like to get back to that weight or even 115 lbs. It's been 3 months and i have only lost 15 lbs. Which I guess is good since I really haven't been doing anything to lose the weight. Just eating when I feel like it, whatever I feel like eating. I don't think I can keep losing weight like this. As some of ya'll have said you wanted to try Trimspa, well I have thought about it too. I was just a little bit hesitant on trying it cause I didn't really know if it was safe. I don't see a problem with it, just that in some people it doesn't work. I think I will give it a try.

May 19th is national gas boycott day. With gas prices on the rise, something must be done to send a message to the gas companies. If no one in America buys gas on the 19th the gas companies will lose an estimated $45 MILLION dollars! If you're not happy with paying over $2.00/gallon please do not buy gas on May 19th. Please re-post this so that it will be able to reach as many people across the country as possible.

Hello. I'm new to the community. My name is Nikki, and I'm 21. I've been trying to lose weight since November of last year, and nothing has been working. Of course, not like i'm exercising or anything.

I have noticed loss of inches, but I can't seem to get below 190. The only good thing is I can't get over 200. So i fluctuate between the two very often.

I started taking diet pills that supress my appetite, and that works nicely, and drinking a Slim Fast for breakfast and with lunch. The problem is when i get home i begin to pig out again, considering i can't take my diet pills after 3pm... they're the ephedra formula kind. Eh.

I'm trying. That's the first step. Right?

The Skennedy No-Fat Cheese Report

So, I've discovered that while fat-free american cheese is fine for such flavorful things as hotdogs and tuna sandwiches, it is -not- good for a grilled cheese. Fucking weird, that was, and once it melted, it wanted to stay melted.

This morning I made two eggs with mozzerella and a touch of curry (I should have used more, but it was an experiment), some bacon, all on wheat toast with oj (the 'healthy kids', heh).

Not a bad start :)

Vitamins and positive energy supplements, and less sugar than pop.

Snack:
a bag of Cheetos
Verdict: Bad, but my choices during break at 8pm at school were worse, and I hadn't eaten since lunch. No crashing or pigging out later for me.

Dinner:
A kosher beef hot dog on wheat bread with fat free american cheese (I can't taste the difference in this context), mustard, and some lowfat chips for texture
Verdict: Very good, although I'm sure eating late isn't good.
discovery health body challenge

the Discovery Health channel is doing a National Body Challenge. To sign up, you need to weigh in at a Discovery Channel store on January 10th and you get a free 3 month membership at Ballys (although I'd be careful what I signed at Ballys, and personally may end up just going to my own gym), a diet and fitness journal, access to their online communities and stuff, and a chance to be on the tv show. I'm thinking I may end up signing up and thought maybe some of you might be interested too. Michigan signups will be at Briarwood, Somerset, and 12 Oaks malls, or you can sign up on the discovery.com/health website.

Anyone want to go stand in line with me?

Healthy Gourmet Delivery

Can I just say how much I would love to be able to use this service to lose weight? Unfortunately, I am not in their delivery area, but I sent them an e-mail to see if there are any other requests for Oak Park / Ferndale. Maybe if they think they will be expanding out my way I will try it. Their menu items sound incredible! And I've been curious about The Zone. And it's so much easier than cooking for myself.

Latest concoction.

I made mac n cheese last night, and we were out of skim milk (I don't drink it), so all I had was my soy milk. Vanilla. I used that, a little light on it perhaps, and added a little italian cheese (parm/mozz), some hotdog chunks, and a little curry.

Rave reviews. It was smashing. Better than going out for a pizza, I suppose.

A new beginning

Today is Monday and, for me, a fresh start. I was dieting like mad before my wedding in October and managed to drop about 4.5 pounds in about a month, but gained it all back on the honeymoon and the couple of weeks that followed. This morning, I weighed in at 177, which was the exact amount that I was when I started.

I woke up early and used the treadmill for a half hour. I usually try to do a full episode of Buffy, but it's been so long since I exercised that I got pretty tired and decided to not over-exert myself. I can gradually work back up to what I was doing before the long break.

I also am going to try my best to stick to the Slim Fast meal replacement plan - a granola meal bar for breakfast and lunch, and low-calorie, low-fat snacks mid-morning and in the afternoon. For dinner, Mark and I had stocked up on chicken breasts and low-fat burger and other pseudo-healthy foods last time we went grocery shopping so it should be easy to stick to it, provided we don't eat out too often.

I'm also going to give the TrimSpa another chance. I've got the Totally Ephedra Free pills, the Carb Blocker pills, and the Fat Blocker pills. I'll take the recommended dosage (2 each) with breakfast and lunch and (hopefully) before I leave the office in the evening since it's hard to remember to take them at home when Mark's not looking.

And last but not least, I've made an appointment with my doctor to discuss weight loss. My father is obese and has developed Type II Diabetes within the last ten years or so. My doctor is really pro-weight loss as a means to prevent developing Diabetes so I figured since I'm at risk, I should go talk to her. I've suspected that there might be something wrong with my thyroid since it's all but f@#$ing impossible for me to drop weight. I'll bring this up with her and anything else she might suggest (meal plans, exercise plans, etc.) for me to get my weight and BMI to a reasonable level. I'm sure she'll yell at me for the Slim Fast and TrimSpa fad diet aspect, but for now, that's all I can really think to do as I'm extremely desperate to get back down to 130 or so.

Hopefully, one of the four things will kick in and I'll finally make some progress.

Okay, check this one out:

I just ate

a tunafish sandwich:
Wheat bread
tuna
light chips (for texture ;) )
monster cheese
mayo (don't have light)

With soup:
Campbell's chicken noodle
red curry
black pepper

And wheat toast, no butter for the soup. :)

Keep in mind that my last meal was chili-cheese nachos at Zack's at 1 a.m. ;)

Just an update: I am no longer on the South Beach diet. I found that I hated so much of the food that they wanted me to eat that I wasn't eating enough, which made me want to eat bad stuff. So, I've created my own plan that I've been doing well with so far, the key being planning and preparation. I went through my Cooking Light magazines and planned our dinner meals over the next couple of weeks around those recipes, and bought Lean Cuisines for lunches.

I made a big pot of real oatmeal (the old-fashioned kind, not instant or quick) and added pumpkin pie spices, dried cranberries with orange flavor, minced candied ginger pieces, honey, and chopped walnuts. Yum! I heat it up for breakfast and pour on some vanilla Silk and it's soooo good. Good fiber too, since it's whole oats.

I'm trying to add exercise more regularly, doing crunches during TV shows, lifting weights, etc. Until I get this sinus infection cleared up I can't do alot because I get woozy easily, but I am trying to get into the doc's this afternoon, so hopefully that will not be a problem soon. :)

I'm still down from 193 three weeks ago to 185. My goal is to get down to 165 by xmas, and then down to 145 by springtime.

How is everyone else doing? :)

Well, as of this morning, I hit my target weight! I weighed myself and the scale read 170. I had to weigh myself three times - I didn't belive it.

Now if I could actually get myself some excercise, I'll be golden.

W00t!
