This is a community for AU fanfiction from the UPN show Veronica Mars.

All types of fanfiction from the show are accepted, as long as the fic can be classified as AU. This means all ratings and ships (no matter how weird).

This includes anything from fics that start with an episode ending a different way, to those that take place pre-series, or have the characters in a different setting then the one on the show.EDIT: This also includes future fics of any kind.

Fiction Rating Guidelines (taken from veronicamarsfic)

PG: No adult content or language.
PG-13: If you can watch Veronica Mars, you can read this. May include some adult content, including mild sexual situations, little violence, and swearing, such as "bitch", "hell" or "damn".
R: Contains adult situations and language. Stronger profanity, sexual situations and violence are included, as well as adult issues.
NC-17: Graphic violence and/or sexual situations.

If you're not sure where your fic fits, it's typically better to select the stronger rating and then state why you chose the given rating. (i.e. "R for strong language" versus PG-13)

The Rules

01. Obviously the given ones, like:
- No StIcKY CaPs, use both lower and upper case in the appropriate places.
- Have your fic checked over for spelling and grammer before posting. Most programs have spell check and you can usually find a wonderful beta to help you with grammer and to find the mistakes the computer missed.
- Use paragraphs, reading huge blocks of text is not fun and will most likely be ignored by readers (and then deleted by the mods).

02. Include the details in the subject line. This makes it a hell of a lot easier for us to organize the memories.

03. All fics should be behind a LJ cut. If you don't know how to use one, see here.


04. Above the cut, please include:

Title: obviously
Author: real name or LJ username
Pairing/Character: It's best to include all ships, but you only need to list the main characters.
Word Count: Estimate if you don't know for sure.
Rating: see the info above if you're not sure
Summary: In this please include where/how the fic goes AU.
Spoilers/Warnings:

And any notes you might have about the fic, and if it's a multi-parter links to the all the previous chapters.

05. If you fail to follow the rules (label properly, use an LJ cut, or fail to include spoilers/warnings, etc) we will give you a warning. If you don't fix it in a reasonable amount of time, the post will be deleted.

06. There are no length minimums or maximums, fics of all sizes are accepted.

07. Posting your fic means you allowing anyone to comment with their personal opinion. If you decide to not take their advice, fine, but please be courteous and take it good naturely. Same goes for the commenter, do not be rude. If you don't like a certain fic, don't comment. If you can't say something nice, don't say it all.

08. All posts that aren't actual fics will automatically be deleted without warning. The only exceptions are posts about upcoming contests, challenges, communties, etc, but make sure they are relate to Veronica Mars fan fiction!! Don't post telling about your new comm for Buffy fanfic or VM art.
