What is visionary art?
As AVAM states:
Visionary art as defined for the purposes of the American Visionary Art Museum refers to art produced by self-taught individuals, usually without formal training, whose works arise from an innate personal vision that revels foremost in the creative act itself.
While the artists featured here do not have to be self-taught, the purpose is to expose us all to surreal and unconventional contemporary art. So post images, links to different art/artist's websites, show updates, and information about news and people in the contemporary art world.
If you're specifically looking for a place in which to post your own artwork, you might want to look into a different kind of community.
