The painting, "Fimbulwinter", acrylic, ink, and pencil on canvas (36x36) in custom frame (makes it, um, bigger?).
"Dragon's Mouth" frame is epoxy putty, bone, roadkill/farmkill/prairie find teeth, beach glass, paint, and found metal on Northern Hemlock and recycled board scraps.
Both were done by me just in August. There is a little book that goes with them, hand written and bound, that tells about the process and their story.

A Raincoat - It Came in the Night |

FIFTY24SF Gallery presents a group show, Catalyst, opening Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 7–9:30pm. Catalyst is a group exhibition curated by Brett Aronson that will include eight of today's most prominent visual artists from the abrasive music community, allowing aural and visual expressions to converge. Featured artists include: Josh Graham, Aaron Turner, Seldon Hunt, Aaron Horkey, Justin Bartlett, Stephen Kasner, Dwid Hellion, and Florian Bertmer. Artwork on display in Catalyst will comprise of a wide source of media, including new two-dimensional paintings, drawings, video installations, and screen-prints as well as an installation of seminal works from each of the artists’ extensive catalogues.
