No! -I had no idea.

Marissa Mell was an interesting actress. She was a rising starlet, but just as she was starting to get some good roles (such as the lead in Ken Russell's "French Dressing"), she was in a bad car accident that severely disfigured her face. It took many cosmetic surgeries over the course of two years to fully reconstruct it, but the results were amazing.

Art can be an attempt to reconstruct Beauty, seldom successfully at that, but in this case it was, I have to say. By the way, Carly's fairly recent recording of "Moonglow" is the definitive version of the great standard, I feel. Give it a listen.
