| About: | Vintage Color is a community for people who love all things vintage, and that shows in the way our homes are decorated, the way we dress, and the things we collect. We love to see pictures! Post pictures of your home, collections, or your latest finds!
We especially love to see color! We are all about the vintage here folks! Though our emphasis is mostly on the 30s, 40s and 50s we have been known to enjoy some well done 60s and 70s too! We're not purists here so we enjoy a good mixing of the decades as well!
Need help decorating a room with vintage style? Rather than describing the room, please post a picture. Us visual people are just that. Visual. That way you'll be sure to get some good advice. We love us some pictures.
Have you come across a great new decorating magazine or book on vintage style? Please share. We want to know about it!
Find a good vintage-style reproduction something? Do tell!
A few rules to keep everyone happy:
*no memes!(quizzes and other things of that nature) Of any sort. Please post them in your own journal, vintagecolor is not the place for them. All memes will be deleted.
*please don't advertise your new community here unless you have something else to say and it is somehow related to this community.
*no mean people! This isn't a rating community! Remember what your mother told you: "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all."
*NO selling please! Although we love a good sale, there are plenty of communities where you can do that. If you're wanting to post about your garage sale or what you have on ebay, PLEASE find a seperate community for that. Selling posts will be deleted and you will be warned. Two strikes, and you're out (I always wanted to say that!).
*Please don't post pictures of rooms that are unrelated to this community. Vintage-inspired is fine, we're not sticklers here and we love variety (it is after all, the spice of life!). This just isnt the place for all beige, all the time. Two words here: COLOR and FUN (ok, thats three)
